I didn't have much faith in these guys, but the hot, dryish summer has done them well. Maybe next time I'll try jalapeños. 04-08-13_12-47

It would be very easy to dismiss this as a typical low end unlicensed model from some obscure Chinese toy maker, one of many in my collection but believe it or not this little 1/64 Porsche Cayenne is actually a licensed casting which its maker proudly proclaims on the packaging. Made by a company called Playmind, or more precisely Kaiyu who have been contracted to make them, it is obviously aimed at the basic Maisto end of the market though it does beat that company on the virtue of its interior. The overall shape of the Cayenne has been captured well enough with some nicely painted badging and headlamps with its only major flaw being its non 4x4 ride height which makes this prestigious SUV look more like a standard estate car! Part of a five vehicle set bought from a Dollar General in the sleepy but picturesque town of Williams. Mint and boxed.
