Fox squirrels on a beautiful snowy Winter's day in Ann Arbor, Tuesday February 1st, 2022. All sorts of things on campus today. Spied a new cavity nest over on Law Quad. Caught this big one (I think a momma) high atop Tappan Hall. And I saw a squirrel I am calling Snow White. I was told there was a nearly bald squirrel near the UMMA. I spied this one on the north side of the Law Quad and she was missing a ton of fur. She was more white underneath. I gave her a medicated pecan and will hook her up next week for the second part of the dose. Wishing you joy and health wherever you are and best wishes for the new year.
These pictures of squirrels in Ann Arbor at the University of Michigan were taken on Friday May 19th and Monday May 22nd, 2017. Even got some pictures of cute juvenile squirrels over by the cavity nest by Lorch Hall.
Taken in Ann Arbor at the University of Michigan on a snowy Winter's day - Thursday February 6th, 2020. I did seem my favorite (Lefty - the three pawed squirrel) over on the Law Quad. I also saw a squirrel in the brickwork cavity high up on the walls of the Harlan Hatcher Graduate Library.
Fox squirrels on a spring day in Ann Arbor, Thursday April 28th, 2022. A short, but excellent, visit on campus today with my squirrel friends. I was able to see a red squirrel - always a treat. But the best part was seeing three juveniles in a nest at the roof eaves of Tappan Hall - home of the University of Michigan Art History Department. It is on the north side of the building, near UMMA. I will call them the Triplets of Tappan Hall. I had my better camera and loved the results. I also got a second dose of squirrels meds to Midge. She lives on the Diag between Hatcher and Mason Hall. I will call her Midge! I also saw a number of squirrels, including a few juveniles, in cavity nests. The cavity nest next to Mason Hall seems to have a family making its way in the world. Lots of mommas who are nursing their babies in their nests. Wishing you joy, health and peace wherever you are.

The pickup selector switch cavity is just like the tone and volume knob cavity, only round and is made for just one switch, not 4. The switch wires go pass through a body channel routed into the mahogany body before the top was glued on. You can just see it to the very bottom right of the cavity. The straight channel runs through the body to the pickup cavities, down through the body into the main control cavity of the previous shot. This makes a nice, neat and tidy bundle of wires instead of a big mess.

Squirrels out and about on a beautiful early spring day in Ann Arbor at the University of Michigan. Taken on Monday April 18, 2016. I saw a squirrel in the cavity nest over by Lorch Hall. I also saw what I think was a mother and a juvenile (or maybe a sibling) by the cavity nest over by Clements Library. They could have been siblings, but it looks like the younger one was learning his way up and down the tree (which leads me to think it was the mother).
