Skippy Blends In the squirrel heard me or saw me, they usually freeze until they know where your going, very cautious group, shot in North Carolina.
a herd of Blue Wildebeest arrive at a waterhole in the Kgalagadi which has been going through a horrendous drought and one can sense their caution and wariness to approach as predators may lie behind trees in waiting, this is the time when they are most vulnerable, out in the open and heads down while they are drinking...
Cautious, but not that bothered sheep eyeing us on the way up the Torr Head. I deliberately used the title of a Cranberries song - a band that has "Ireland" written all over it :) :) :)
Torr Head, a slight detour on the Causeway Coastal Route is the closest point between Scotland and Ireland and offers spectacular views of Mull of Kintyre.

Explore Jan 22/08 Bald Eagle .... Last remains of the spawning salmon for this year. Most if not all the eagle have now left the spawning river likey back to their nest areas, building for the upcoming mating season. This White Squirrel cautiously looks up after rooting around for buried walnuts on the ground, to make sure he was safe.
This White Squirrel had flattened out on this Willow Tree by the water. I think he was thinking he could fool me and pretend to be part of the tree, so, I would pass by.
In the Winter, White squirrels will do this on a snow covered tree branch and blend in, camouflaged by their white fur. It doesn't work so well other times of the year! I gotta give him credit for trying! Lol!

This Rainbow Lorikeet was a visitor to my back yard feeder a little while ago ( they visit most days!)
It was keen to have a feed of the seed mix I'd put into the feeder, but was also quite cautious about my presence; especially poking a camera lens at it.......
Hope you like the deliberate shallow DOF used here and also the gorgeous colors of these birds.

A White Squirrel tries to flee from me ,circling around a Maple tree. This is a true White Squirrel with black eyes.( not an Albino squirrel)

This red fox scouring the Lake Ontario shoreline for something to eat and paused behind a tree momentarily before continuing on about its' business.
The steps of some pyramids that we climbed were rather steep, and we had to be careful when we had to go back down.

I was passing through the town of Exeter,Ontario this morning to get a quick breakfast before driving home. I stopped at the park there and saw 2 White Squirrels! This town is known as the ,"Home of the White Squirrel". There is about 52 of them running around in this town and they are "True White Squirrels",not albino squirrels. They have black eyes not the albino pink eyes.A genetic trait in the black squirrel of that town. So white squirrels can be born of black squirrel parents.
In a small woodland when a flock of sheep ran past me, this one however seemed reluctant to pass and stopped to check me out first before moving on.
Went to a spot where I could try out surfing, but just hung on the board watching the waves. Going to have to get lessons so I don't kill myself!
