What do angry punch-dancing and Kevin Bacon have to do with kitty cleanliness and convenience?

Arguably, nothing at all. However, this incredible improvement on automatic cat toilets by its name claims otherwise.

Two nights ago, a box of cat litter appeared in the outside foyer of the houseboy's condo. A box about the size of a case of beer. I said to him, "oh that's nice, the maintenance people are being eco-friendly and leaving litter to put on the ice instead of salt" (remember, this was taken in early March when icy sidewalks abound in Montreal).

I was 100% sure that that was what was going on when I pointed out a similar box outside of the building next door the next day.

So last night when we got home around 7.30 PM and it was dark and super slippery, B decided to throw some of the litter on the ice.....and this is what happened next:

1. He stuck his bare hand into the box assuming there was a scooper in there

2. He let out a high pitched scream (more of a wail really)

3. He ran back to the street and thrust his hand into the snow and started wiping it vigorously, all the while screaming/wailing

4. He ran back to me with a murderous look on his face and screamed "THAT WAS NOT FOR DE-ICING THE SIDEWALK!!!"

Turned out it was USED cat litter someone had dumped in the foyer.....

BWAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And here's the proof.

CAN'T......STOP.......LAUGHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not even going to post this bit of ick to any groups, it's purely for my entertainment and yours!

strange effect from the rain

Pots still in Mad Flowering Mode; cats still pooing; moss roses still being cute; hostas growing new large leaves; beans growing like stink and rapidly outgrowing their canes. Excellent weather for this sort of caper in the UK atm!

Or maybe ZenBob. We've come into the doggie way this past weekend. Riley has been pining for a dog for many months and after much stalling and forcing him to do all sorts of research on how to care for a dog, we went looking last weekend. I had warned him that we were only looking and we'd have to search a while for the right dog to fit in well with our family. First time out, looking at rescued dogs, and we both fell for this little dude. Six months old, quiet and shy but very friendly and wiggly. Bobbed tail (god knows why), already fixed and with all his shots.

So far he's been great with the cats; Max greeted him with an air of "where the hell have you been?" and Wallace and Sam were nonplussed but puzzled rather than traumatized. He seems to be fully house-trained. He also seems to have never been for a walk and doesn't seem to know how to play, really. I'm sure the boys will fix that right up, but it'll take a bit of time maybe to gain his trust; he's kind of a nervous one so far. Hoping he doesn't stay that way but relaxes into the new family.

We're arguing over names. Riley was rooting for 'Zen" but I can't help thinking that it's pretty damn hard to bellow "ZEN!!!" at the top of one's lungs. Rather like bellowing "Serenity NOW!!" or somesuch. I was rooting for Bob. He seems like a Bob. Casey suggested Yoda, and Riley and I agreed we might be able to live with that name, though I secretly still want to call him Bob. YodaBob. Sounds good to me. Any ideas for what to name this mutt welcomed...

When the cat poo smell wouldn't go away (yes, a small cat got trapped in the car in Fort Bragg, if you haven't been looking at these sequentially) we discovered the cat had defecated not just on the puce colored jacket that Casper left on the ground in Mendocino, but also on his back up jacket. The black one was also left on the ground, but this one was in Guernville. Dust to Dust, black jacket!

Rafflesia flower and it doesn't smell like a dead donkey

There have had more feral cats in our neighborhood and they recently have been using our lawn as their litter box... I got tired of accidentally stepping on them or picking them up when they are still fresh because it's the worse smell!... So I used these flags to mark them so I don't accidentally step on them and I'll pick them up when they have dried up. #poo #catpoo #catpoop #poop #lawn #grass #feces #flags #garden #dontsteponit May 30, 2024 at 08:14AM
