The statue of the poet and mystic from Anatolia. Died 1320 according to Wikipedia (!) The main uni campus for Anadolu University is named after this gent.

Sunrise up on Mam Tor, Peak District, Derbyshire
iso200 because I was doing a one handed press up trying to get the shot so needed to up the shutter speed a bit!
I've often shot the sunrise from this spot, but on this occasion, it was so brief, but perhaps the most special...

Another fall from the Elidir Trail in South Wales along the River Neath. Again, not in full flow as it was summer, though plenty of rain came after my visit, but beautiful area anytime of year.
The name in English is Horseshoe Falls, I think!

Sgwd ddwli Uchaf, The Upper Gushing Falls, on the River Neath, South Wales.
Taken during a dry summer with the river flow very low...the only time I could visit but no complaints...beautiful area!

To me, the building at 1 Blackfriars should look a bit more gothic thank this gleaming new torpedo...either way...love it or hate it, it's part of the skyline now

No idea why I did this, but after applying such strong tonal changes the wood creature appeared from the woods. Ok, too much imagination? Cabin fever setting in probably...and yes, I admit...I know why I was just playing with tonal adjustments on old shots because I cannot get out to take new ones....grrrrrr

St Athernase Church is a Romanesque church located in Leuchars, Fife, Scotland. It is a Category A listed building and remains in use as a Church of Scotland parish church.
The chancel and half-round apse date from the 12th century with the exterior featuring blind arcades with typical Norman arches. The church was granted by Ness son of William, Lord of Leuchars, to the canons of St Andrews in 1185. Around 1700 a belfry was added, and in 1858 restoration was carried out to the nave.
The church is open to the public in summer, at other times by arrangement. Relics preserved inside include part of a 9th-century cross-slab found near the village (closely comparable to the large collection at St Andrews Cathedral), and three elaborate 16th century memorial stones of the Bruce's of Earlshall, the local lairds. One of the latter shows a full length figure of a woman, naïve in execution, but valuable in documenting contemporary dress.
The oft-mentioned dedication of the medieval church of Leuchars to St Athernase is actually an error. It arises from a nineteenth-century misreading of a list of church dedications in the Register of St Andrews Priory, a medieval manuscript now in the National Archives of Scotland. Folio 155v. has a list of churches dedicated, or re-dedicated, by bishop David de Bernham of St Andrews in the 1240s. The eighth church in this list is 'ecclesia sancti Johannis euangeliste et sancti Athernisci confessoris de Losceresch (the church of St John the evangelist and St Athernase the confessor). However the church of Losceresch is not the church of Leuchars, which in medieval sources is spelt Lochris, Locres etc., but the parish church of Lathrisk (now Kettle parish in Fife), whose early spellings are Losresc (1170s), Loseresch, Losseresc (1227) and such like. Athernase is the patron saint not of Leuchars but of Lathrisk.
The patron of Leuchars is not known for certain, but some medieval sources indicate a local cult of St Bonoc, a name unknown outside the parish of Leuchars, and a chapel of St Bonoc, complete with chaplain, is known to have existed.
"Athernase" may be an anglicised form of the name Itharnán, found also in Fife at Kilrenny, and on the Isle of May, an Irish missionary who "died among the Picts" in 669 according to the Annals of Ulster.
The ruins of Whiby Abbey, a Benedictine abbey in North Yorkshire. A monastery was on this site from around 657AD, the current shell dates to the 13th century.

Russell Square is a large garden square in Bloomsbury, in the London Borough of Camden, built predominantly by the firm of James Burton. It is near the University of London's main buildings and the British Museum. Almost exactly square, to the north is Woburn Place and to the south-east is Southampton Row. Russell Square tube station sits to the north-east.[1]
It is named after the surname of the Earls and Dukes of Bedford; the freehold remains with the latter's conservation trusts who have agreed public access and management by Camden Council. The gardens are in the mainstream, initial category (of Grade II listing) on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens.[2]

Zhong Xinming es una líder de la iglesia capaz de soportar el sufrimiento por el deber, a la par que diligente y responsable. Aunque tiene problemas de espalda, continúa cumpliendo con el deber pese al dolor. El problema empeora, no obstante, y un chequeo en el hospital revela que tiene una hernia discal en las lumbares 4 y 5. Si no recibe tratamiento inmediato, podría terminar encamada. Esto le preocupa un poco, pero cree que este problema le ha sucedido con el permiso de Dios, que la prueba evaluando su fe y devoción. Cree que, mientras colabore con el tratamiento y siga cumpliendo con el deber, sin duda Dios la protegerá. Sin embargo, con el paso del tiempo, su problema va cada vez a más y corre el riesgo de quedarse paralítica en cualquier momento. ¿Cómo supera la prueba de esta enfermedad? ¿Y cómo siega con gritos de júbilo al final? Averígualo viendo Segué con gritos de júbilo en medio del sufrimiento.
