This was my first time seeing the main waterfall (Cataract Falls) in Forks of the Credit in Caledon, Ontario
Here is an image previously posted here. I processed this much differently than I did a year ago. Plus, I am getting self-conscious with bridge photography. I needed some green in my image feed. Ha!
Hope you enjoy.
Ventured to Niagara Falls today for a couple of hours of shooting. This is a shot of the Cataracts - the US side of the falls.
Far less ice this year than there was in 2014, but still a beautiful sight.
One of the chief attractions in Launceston is the very beautiful Cataract Gorge. I took a walk around the area the first day I was there, late in the afternoon. Then I took one of the Tamar and Cataract Cruises. The boats can only go so far before weirs and rocks get in the way but the view of the Gorge and it's structures like this hut is lovely. I felt the Hut could have come straight out of a Lord of the Rings movie, but had been constructed well before that!.
The Duchess Hut was built in 1926 and replaced a previous bark hut. It was renamed after a visit of the Duke and Duchess of York in 1927. The Gorge is on the South Esk River
I took this with my 400mm zoom lens at 263 mm .. not cropped.
It is to compare with GoPro video previous shot.
This little drop in the creeks elevation is picturesque. I made a 24"x40" print of this shot, slightly cropped.
This is the last of the Kenai Fjords pictures. This is Cataract Falls, which helps drain the melt under the Harding Ice Field in the Kenai Peninsula.A wet rainy day, but I hope you can get a feel for how tall the falls are.
Taken at Cataract Falls State Recreation Area, Owen County, Indiana. This was the last image I got before my tripod fell over, breaking my CP filter and my favorite standard lens. The lens got fixed, and I have a new CP filter, but it was an expensive mistake!
Some Colorado wildflowers near Cataract Lake last summer... I survived the arctic blast here yesterday, barely, and am hoping we are now headed in the right direction toward spring....
