For my baby girl who's was up all night with a fever.I won't be on today. We're going to the doctor.
An awesome video which inspired this title.
I don't wanna write this song
I don't want this pain to be my story
I don't want this desert road
Are You sure this is the plan that You have for me?
Out here in the dust and clay
God, if there's a bigger picture
It's gettin' hard to see today
But I know that You won't leave me here...

Alta Vista seems to have been a real estate development in an unincorporated area of the Antelope Valley in the southwestern part of the Mojave Desert…very few homes have been built and what there is appears to be more of the survivalist mentality…

Too many tragedies both personal and across our world. It's hard to express the full impact of emotion in a photo.. Its in my heart .. Such a corrupt world, so many needless lives lost...May they RIP...
ASH WEDNESDAY – 3/9/11
At Masses and services of worship on this day, ashes are imposed on the foreheads of the faithful. The priest, minister, or in some cases officiating layperson, marks the forehead of each participant with black ashes in the shape of a cross, which the worshipper traditionally retains until it wears off. The act echoes the ancient Near Eastern tradition of throwing ashes over one's head to signify repentance before God (as related in the Bible).
The priest or minister says one of the following when applying the ashes:
Remember, O man, that you are dust, and unto dust you shall return.
—Genesis 3:19
Turn away from sin and be faithful to the Gospel.
—Mark 1:15
Repent, and hear the good news.

I was sure by now
That You would have reached down
And wiped our tears away
Stepped in and saved the day
But once again, I say "Amen", and it's still raining
As the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
"I'm with you"
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God who gives
And takes away
Chorus:
I'll praise You in this storm
And I will lift my hands
For You are who You are
No matter where I am
Every tear I've cried
You hold in Your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm

Hello Flickr Friends! Thanks for all the views, comments, faves and invites :))
All work no play may have made Jack a dull boy
But all work no God has left Jack with a lost soul
But he's moving on full steam
He's chasing the American dream
And he's gonna give his family the finer things
Not this time son I've no time to waste
Maybe tomorrow we'll have time to play
And then he slips into his new BMW
And drives farther and farther and farther away
So He works all day and tries to sleep at night
He says things will get better;
Better in time
And he works and he builds with his own two hands
And he pours all he has in a castle made with sand
But the wind and the rain are comin' crashing in
Time will tell just how long his kingdom stands
His kingdom stands
His American Dream is beginning to seem
More and more like a nightmare
With every passing day
"Daddy, can you come to my game?"
"Oh Baby, please don't work late."
Another wasted weekend
And they are slipping away
'Cause he works all day and lies awake at night
He tells them things will get better
It'll just take a little more time
He used to say, "Whoever dies with the most toys wins"
But if he loses his soul, what has he gained in the end
I'll take a shack on the rock
Over a castle in the sand
Now he works all day and cries alone at night
It's not getting any better
Looks like he's running out of time
'Cause he worked and he built with his own two hands
And he poured all he had in a castle made with sand
But the wind and the rain are coming crashing in
Time will tell just how long his kingdom stands
His kingdom stands
All they really wanted was You

My Savior Loves, My Savior Lives (Casting Crowns)
I am not skilled to understand
What God has willed, what God has planned
I only know at his right hand
Stands one who is my savior
I take him at his word and deed
Christ died to save me this I read
And in my heart I find a need
Of him to be my savior
That he would leave his place on high
And come for sinful man to die
You count it strange, so once did I
Before I knew my savior
My savior loves, my savior lives
My savior's always there for me
My God he was, my God he is
My God he's always gonna be
Yes, living, dying; let me bring
My strength, my solace from this spring
That he who lives to be my king
Once died to be my savior
That he would leave his place on high
And come for sinful man to die
You count it strange, so once did I
Before I knew my savior
My savior loves, my savior lives
My savior's always there for me
My God he was, My God he is
My God he's always gonna be

Is there anyone that fails
Is there anyone that falls
Am I the only one in church today feelin' so small
Cause when I take a look around
Everybody seems so strong
I know they'll soon discover
That I don't belong
So I tuck it all away, like everything's okay
If I make them all believe it, maybe I'll believe it too
So with a painted grin, I play the part again
So everyone will see me the way that I see them
Are we happy plastic people
Under shiny plastic steeples
With walls around our weakness
And smiles to hide our pain
But if the invitation's open
To every heart that has been broken
Maybe then we close the curtain
On our stained glass masquerade
Is there anyone who's been there
Are there any hands to raise
Am I the only one who's traded
In the altar for a stage
The performance is convincing
And we know every line by heart
Only when no one is watching
Can we really fall apart
But would it set me free
If I dared to let you see
The truth behind the person
That you imagine me to be
Would your arms be open
Or would you walk away
Would the love of Jesus
Be enough to make you stay

Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth
Would care to know my name
Would care to feel my hurt
Who am I, that the Bright and Morning Star
Would choose to light the way
For my ever wandering heart
Not because of who I am
But because of what You've done
Not because of what I've done
But because of who You are
I am a flower quickly fading
Here today and gone tomorrow
A wave tossed in the ocean
Vapor in the wind
Still You hear me when I'm calling
Lord, You catch me when I'm falling
And You've told me who I am
I am Yours, I am Yours
Who am I, that the eyes that see my sin
Would look on me with love and watch me rise again
Who am I, that the voice that calmed the sea
Would call out through the rain
And calm the storm in me

I really just want to cry(and I am now as I write this)… I’m so tired of this world. This is kind of a long story and I’m sure no one will get it but I have to say something to someone. Ok so there is this girl my brother met on this ranch him, my dad, and my grandpa go and hunt on every year. She is the only kid and the ranch and so she was really happy to have someone her own age come there to talk to and do stuff with. Well my mom and I (who stay home) heard all about her and how much fun she is and I started emailing her. We have now been emailing for three years and we have really badly wanted to meet each other. There was talk of me or my mom and I going on the annual hunting trip but things ended up not working. So this year our family planned a trip and along the way we were/are going to stop and I would FINALLY get to meet her! And then last night… She informed us that she is now gay. I’m sure none of you will understand this but I thought she had the same mind set I did and as a fellow Christian also see that homosexually is immoral and wrong. I’m just heartbroken that she can be so confused and angry at all these “pick and chose Christian” teens. I don’t know how to explain my emotions right now and please know I’m not being mean to her or judging her…it’s just really complicated. And on top of this she also said their moving and they wouldn’t be there when we planned on visiting. This is all really upsetting to me for many reasons. Probably most upsetting because I don’t have ANY friends who I can trust or who really care about me and I was hoping when we met maybe we could become really good friends. I had all sorts of great idea’s for stuff we could do, and I wanted to meet her dog I hear so much about, and I just imaging all sorts of stuff about what we’d do and what she and my brother would show me when we got there, but now… It’s all gone. All my plan’s and dreams. I just don’t know what to do…
Sorry for the long story but I’m just really sad/upset/hurt/confused… I just really needed to let some of it out.

Lord, I lift my friend to You, I've done all that I know to do
I lift my friend to You
Complicated circumstances have clouded her view
Lord, I lift my friend up to You
I fear that I won't have the words that she needs to hear
I pray for Your wisdom, oh God, and a heart that's sincere
Lord, I lift my friend up to You
Lord, I lift my friend to You
My best friend in the world, I know she means much more to You
I want so much to help her, but this is something she has to do
And Lord, I lift my friend up to You
'cause there's a way that seems so right to her
But You know where that leads
She's becoming a puppet of the world, too blind to see the strings
Lord, I lift my friend up to You
My friend up to You
Lord, I lift my friend to You, I've done all that I know to do
I lift my friend to You
Pray for a Friend - Casting Crowns
She is running
A hundred miles an hour in the wrong direction
She is trying
But the canyon's ever widening
In the depths of her cold heart
So she sets out on another misadventure just to find
She's another two years older
And she's three more steps behind
Does anybody hear her? Can anybody see?
Or does anybody even knows she's going down today
Under the shadow of our steeple
With all the lost and lonely people
Searching for the hope that's tucked away in you and me
Does anybody hear her? Can anybody see?
She is yearning
For shelter and affection
That she never found at home
She is searching
For a hero to ride in
To ride in and save the day
And in walks her prince charming
And he knows just what to say
Momentary lapse of reason
And she gives herself away
If judgement looms under every steeple
If lofty glances from lofty people
Can't see past her scarlet letter
And we never even met her
He is running
A hundred miles an hour in the wrong direction

"Be careful little eyes what you see,
It's the second glance that ties your hands as darkness pulls the strings.....
It's a slow fade when you give yourself away,
It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray,
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid,
When you give yourself away,
People never crumble in a day."

Casting Crowns CD Release Party
Casting Crowns launches new CD
By Jason A. Smith
jsmith@henryherald.com
Megan McLain, of Jonesboro, said she came to see Casting Crowns because of the “inspirational” message the band conveys in its music.
“It’s a good wake-up call,” she said of the Grammy-winning group’s collection of songs. “It really makes you think, ‘Am I being effective as a Christian?’”
McLain was part of a standing-room-only crowd of fans who celebrated the release, Wednesday, of the band’s third CD, “The Altar and the Door,” at a concert at Eagle’s Landing First Baptist Church in McDonough.
Throughout the show, lead singer Mark Hall — who is also the youth leader at Eagle’s Landing — told the crowd how the CD came together, all the while emphasizing the band members’ view of music as a ministry.
“We were not setting out to make music,” he told the crowd. “We set out to say something. Music is the vehicle.”
The message seemed to resonate with 16-year-old Jake Lothes, of Jackson. He said he didn’t know a lot about Casting Crowns before he was invited to the concert by friends, but that he liked what he heard at the show.
“I like their sound and what they sing about,” he said. “It’s all about praising God.”
Hall said the band members draw from their own experiences to create their music.
“We sing about the things we’re struggling with, and for some reason, people identify with it,” he said.
Among the songs the band performed during the concert was the title track of their latest CD, which is about a Christian’s struggle to maintain a spiritual commitment after exiting a church building.
“Right here in the church, everything makes sense,” he said.
Tom Chitwood, 44, of McDonough said he and his family attend Eagle’s Landing and have followed the band’s career since its beginning. He said he appreciates the authenticity and openness of the band members, particularly Hall.
“Mark is what he sings,” Chitwood said. “He’s sincere, he’s humble and he’s genuine.”
Like Chitwood, Marcie Lunsford of McDonough said she knew the band members in their early days. She said they have remained “down to earth” and continue to impact the lives of young people, like her 16-year-old son Jacob.
“They’ve just been a remarkable influence and inspiration to my son, as well as to the youth group,” she said. “It’s amazing what they pour into these kids.”
The Rev. Dan Holley, pastor of Austin Oaks Baptist Church in Ellenwood, said many in his congregation came to see Casting Crowns play Wednesday, and to fellowship with other Christians.
“It was important for us to come to worship together with other churches, and see what the Lord’s doing here,” he said.
Casting Crowns’ lead guitarist, Juan DeVevo of McDonough, said Eagle’s Landing was the perfect place to launch their new CD.
“This is home for us,” said DeVevo, 31. “We have four churches represented in the band, and all were represented here.”
He dismissed the characterization that the band is a bunch of “rock stars.”
“I don’t think of myself as being that cool,” he said, adding that staying active in their respective churches and youth groups keeps them “accountable” to other Christians.
Bass guitarist Chris Huffman said playing for the people at Eagle’s Landing helped him keep a proper perspective.
“They know we’re not rock stars,” he said. “We get to play music for a living. That’s really it.”
We conducted a "song search" in 2009 to find budding Christian musicians who weren't afraid to write songs about sexual purity.
Taylor Jordan Campbell won with his song Struggle.

I know nothing more effective for quieting a Christian soul and getting contentment
than this, setting your heart to work in the duties of the immediate circumstances that you
are now in, and taking heed of your thoughts about other conditions as a mere temptation.
