As the sun sets beside Mount Tam in the distance, it casts its reflections across the waters of the San Pablo Bay towards the CSU campus of Cal Maritime. In the foreground, the University's Training Ship Golden Bear lies berthed at Morrow Cove on the Carquinez Strait.
This is another from the series of archived shots. I had not previously processed this one, however.

Here's a thought for every man
Who tries to understand what is in his hands (what's in his hands)
He walks along the open road of love and life
Surviving if he can (surviving if he can)
Bound with all the weight of all the words he tried to say
Chained to all the places that he never wished to stay
Bound with all the weight of all the words he tried to say

Was taking a break from cleaning the kitchen and the light came through the window couldn't pass it up.
The light only directly comes through this window a few days a year. Today we gained a bit over 7 minutes of daylight.

Part of the Monument to the Priesthood, the four cast-stone books represent the standard scriptures used by the LDS Church, the Bible, the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price. The stone on which they rest symbolizes the Rock of Revelation on which the LDS Church is built. Child planned to carve the large purple boulder as a globe and place it on top of the books. Unfortunately, Child died before completing this part of the monument.
