Over the weekend, I photographed several flowers in the garden. I studied my beautiful bouquet of big, bold and blousy Dahlias, perfectly proportioned Lupins, fragrant sweet peas and then found this tiny rose which looked so pale and insipid, almost ghostly white. There was something appealing about it so administered a little TLC via LR and discovered that dear little Casper was worthy of a post. I renamed it Lemon Meringue, as in the words of L'Oréal Paris, "it was worth it".

Waterfall hike in Casper, WY

…the little white pumpkin doesn't go away. He just keeps popping up everywhere I go.

I don't understand it, but every sunrise and every sunset here at the foot of the Big Horns, is completely epic.

even ghosts take baths..

This is the eldest of our cats,Casper or Mr Casper as he likes to called unless you know him well. Pictured here taking a well earned rest after patrolling his patch. Everyone who meets Casper falls for his tabby charm and comments on his size.He is one rather large cat, although he is a big softy on less you are another cat crossing onto his land. He is also the protector of all the birds in the garden and his land covers about a 1/3 of an acre so he deserves a rest now and then.

Yes, I have named this snowy owl :-)! I can recognize him by the unique print he has on the back of his head and I have seen him often lately so I gave him the name Casper! He is Casper the friendly snowy owl-haha!

Casper, from Dublin and living rough on the streets in Glasgow, makes money by selling the colourful acrylic paintings which he creates throughout each day on the pavements of Argyle Street or Buchanan Street.

Trongate

- www.kevin-palmer.com - When I first moved to Wyoming this viewpoint was one of my first stops. And I always thought it would be the perfect place to shoot lightning. Last month I finally had the opportunity. A severe thunderstorm was rolling in from the west just after sunset. It wasn’t the perfect storm, but I tried my best to work with what I had. The Casper Mountain overlook faces north, but the bulk of the storm went south. When bolts did start dropping below me, they came with heavy rain. Angling my car just right, I shot out the window while (futilely) holding up a towel to block the rain. Water on the lens was inevitable. Just before the downpour erased all visibility, I caught a series of close strikes. It would take several days for my car to dry out completely.

This is a stack of 5 images, with raindrops removed.
