One part for this pencil case - bag is still not finished (this should be easily carried as a bag). I was going to make a tute, but I've lost photos (somewhere on the hard disk).
I hope I'll finish it after Christmas and that I'll find the photos...

I sewed a *useful* thing!!
It only took three tries and a LOT of cursing, but I finished my kindle case in time for vacation. It stands up!! This is totally inspired by Steph's darling case (thanks, Steph!)
I used this tutorial:
www.chicaandjo.com/2009/09/03/make-a-custom-kindle-cover-...
It has dimensions for all generations of Kindle and a formula for other devices.
The elastic is one of those stretchy headbands you can find at any drugstore.
Not counting the failed attempts, I'd call this a 2-3 hour project (for me).
Found in a rural and secluded cemetery in Sussex County, NJ today. The work in the iron fence was so intricate and beautiful.
I remember my father buying this case in Reigate sixty years ago. I remember thinking how nice it looked. I very rarely use it now.

I made this case to keep my crochet hooks in and other things that I use for my projects.
The pattern for the crochet hook case is called' Leentje's Crochet Hook Case'.
It was designed by Marleen Hartog and is availiable free on Ravelry

I made the pansy motif from this free garnstudio pattern
I originally uploaded this on private, but I decided since everyone is doing a different genre, I should upload it as public so that everyone can see.
So lately I've been stuck in a sort of 50s, and 60s phase so I really wanted to incorporate that into my photo. I'm also really obsessed with Audrey Hepburn at the moment so I was inspired by her "Breakfast at Tiffany's" era: www.google.ca/imgres?um=1&hl=en&safe=off&clie...
I decided to go for a very retro-glam and high fashion look. The story behind this photo is that Agata is on a date and when he thinks she isn't looking, he goes and messes around with another girl.
I really tried my best with this photo and it came out just like I hoped it would. I hope you like it as much as I do, and that it's enough to get us into the finale :)
*I also uploaded a slightly more cropped version in case you prefer that one more.*
Also, just in case you don't know (since they're not that common), Agata is holding a cigarette in a cigarette holder. They were very popular in the earlier decades and are still popular in some fashion ads.

Always a sucker for things that will organise me better....while in Boots the Chemist....looking for a travel plug...found this travel document case...and it works a treat for a on the move kit...will even take a small molesline....
My beloved flight bag, now retired after 20 years. My airline has finally gone electronic, no longer requiring us to haul around our maps and charts and manuals.
Many of the stickers changed over time, but this was the first and only flight case I have ever owned.
