My son is always coming up with new projects for me. He had a toy egg (a puzzle case), which he decided that he wanted me to turn into a dragon egg for the Renaissance Festival. I accepted the challenge, did some image research and created the first one, which I was pleased with. After that I found a second of the same toy egg and decided to do a second one, which came out even better. Then since these eggs open, we had to find dragons to fit inside. He picked those, which due to his plushie obsession, were of course cute stuffed baby dragons. The project really fed my creative soul, sparking my need to make more dragon eggs, mini ones for him to show off and even trade if he wants. The small ones are made from paper mache eggs I've had stashed away in my craft supplies forever. Very pleased with how they all turned out, but realize I might now be obsessed myself and most likely have a future filled with many more dragon egg creations.
