Edifici aïllat de grans dimensions, situat en el nucli central del poble. És de planta quadrada i la seva estructura ha sofert modificacions al llarg del temps.
L'element més remarcable de la façana és la porta central d'accés, d'arc de mig punt, amb dovelles regulars de pedra. A la clau i als salmers hi ha tres escuts. A la part inferior de la façana, es conserven les antigues espitlleres. Als costats de la porta i als angles de l'edifici hi ha carreus de pedra regulars.
Exteriorment, la construcció presenta una distribució irregular de les obertures que són de formes diverses: de mig punt, allindades i una finestra coronella de tipologia gòtica. La coberta és de teula.
Aquest casal-palau té elements medievals, notables finestrals gòtics i dues torres incorporades. Va ser bastant modificat al segle XVIII.
Notícies històriques
L'origen d'aquesta construcció es difícil de precisar, tot i que l'Inventari de l'Arxiu Històric del COAC de Tarragona el situa dintre del segle XVII.
El seu nom li ve del segle XVIII, quan Salvador de Baldric va comprar la senyoria del Rourell (1703). Posteriorment, la seva família va heretar el títol de marquesos de Vallgornera. Popularment, el casal és conegut amb el nom de "El Castell".

This casement molding consists of the main body with a "back band"--the final flat and cove, which allows the molding width to be somewhat adjustable in width to account for walls or other moldings that are too close or possibly not close enough. We can also use this molding with a wider flat section to increase the overall width substantially to use at the main LR windows so the molding is proportionate. The interior element references the bead molding around all of the cabinet openings. The long, gentle elliptical curve is referenced multiple times in the house as is the cove. My latest addition to the iPhone photography gear arrived today from sunny California & is an update to my Diff case.
I got the Diffcase some time ago, it;s a hard plastic case for the iPhone which comes with two tripod bushes, you can see it on the photo of my Triggertrap a few days ago.
The only problem with the Diff Case is that when the iPhone is safely inside, you can't use the add-on magnetic lenses as the aperture for the lens is too small.
Someone in California obviously thought about this and they have designed a new back for the case. This one is solid rather than having an opening flap like the original, and the aperture is much bigger. They've also designed some lens holders into which you can slot the lens, insert it into the case and twist it so it gives the lens more protection against coming off the phone.
