Some months ago, I started thinking about creating a special case for my dolls. I like to have a carrier to use on any bag, to do not depend on a special bag each time I wnat to take a doll with me. My perfect case has to be cushioned to protect them on the bag I choose.
I wanted it to be simple, trouble-free when it comes to take and save the doll, and above all to do not give me problems with the hair. I hate when you want to take a fast shot and your doll has all her hair messed up.
That’s why I discarded using velcro (alpaca’s hair worst enemy) and as I had already discarded zippers to avoid problems with the makeup and I’m afraid of buttons in case of fall. Yes, I’m a maniac.
So, I choosed bows.
After 3 failed prototypes, I finally find the perfect size and how to sew it to my pleasure. I’m glad to introduce you my Blythe Candy Case:

Hace meses que le voy dando vueltas a la idea de crear una funda especial para mis muñecas. Me gusta no depender de un bolso especial para llevarlas, por lo que lo ideal para mí es una funda acolchada para protegerlas dentro de cualquier bolso que elija.
Quería que fuera algo simple, sin complicaciones a la hora de sacar y guardar la muñeca y que sobretodo, no me diera problemas con el pelo. Es muy pesado querer sacar la muñeca para una foto rápida y tener que pasar 5 minutos peinándola otra vez para que no parezca una loca, sobretodo con los pelos naturales tipo alpaca y similares.
Por ese mismo motivo, descarté el velcro (el peor enemigo de la alpaca) y como ya había descartado las cremalleras para evitar disgustos con el maquillaje y los botones me da miedo que se claven en caso de caída (¿maniática yo?), opté por los lazos.
Después de 3 prototipos fallidos, conseguí las medidas y el orden para que quedara a mi gusto. Os presento la funda caramelo para Blythe.
¿Qué os parece el resultado?
Prop de 400 infants i joves han participat en la festa de cloenda dels casals d’estiu municipals de Tarragona de 7 centres educatius: Torreforta, Bonavista, Campclar, el Serrallo, Saavedra, Sant Salvador i Marcel·lí Domingo de Sant Pere i Sant Pau. Els nens i nenes van poder assistir a l’espectacle de circ participatiu “Rodolfo i Rita” de la companyia Cia. Passabarret, com a final de festa a la plaça Verdaguer.

Here's more work with my new flash. The flash is below the case, to the right. I wanted some back light, and I think it worked. It could be a huge print and look nice on a wall (I think). Strobist is a wonderful resource if you care about lighting btw.
