The progression of the lunar eclipse above the road between Denver and Boulder. This is a compilation of multiple shots of the moon as it rose, joined with the long-exposure of head- and tail-lights. I had planned to use a light painted windmill as the foreground instead, but when I did some advanced ground work on the windmill views the land owner threatened to prosecute me for trespassing. I thought the carlights would work as a leading line, and found a stretch of highway that faced east southeast towards the rising moon. In truth the base photo was taken a couple of days before the eclipse.

The Christmas lights in Castleton seemed fewer this year, undoubtedly because of the pubs and shops being closed due to Covid. So I've included a few car lights trails to add to the colourful scene.

40 minutes after sunset, the western sky is casting brilliant purple tones over the dune of Kramersdorf, a suburb of the Nambian Atlantic Coast town of Swakopmund. The light trails are cars on the Swakop->Walvis Bay highway.

It took 78 shots of 15sec each to create startrails of this length, situated above the A67 highway that is running from Venlo to Eindhoven. At the horizon the town of Geldrop is visible.
All shots are at ISO1000 @ f/5,6 (total of 19,5 minutes), and I added a seperate shot of the highway of 15 seconds @ ISO400
