Career Talk over Coffee is Charlotte Mecklenburg Library's monthly career meet-up, happening at 7th Street Market or virtually from home. This environment will be an open space for people to gather and talk opportunity whether it is a job opportunity or a chance to share their ideas about careers and business.

Students received instruction through in-class theory, hands-on activities, and photo walks around the library to develop technical skills and learn how to express their creative visions. Osceola campus Career Development Services hosts the President for a Day luncheon at the Osceola campus on, April 13, 2018 in Kissimmee, Fla. Osceola, Lake Nona, and Poinciana campus president Kathleen Plinske honored winner Marc Aristide and all the participants.

Visual artist and professional photographer Toni Lovejoy of My Name is Lovejoy Photography provided instruction over 3 consecutive Saturdays, teaching camera basics, exposure, and composition.

 

Over the course of the program, students became familiar with their personal cameras and practiced developing their creative visions. Each class concluded with a follow-up assignment for review and further instruction. At the end of the program, students were invited to a private gallery where their selected photographs would be shared with family and friends.
