This card was made using some cute sleeping foxes from Hero Arts. This image is perfect since our kids loved to sleep all cuddled up next to their warm Dada! Trust me this exact scene played out many times when they were little. Now that my son and daughter are bigger they can not fit so nicely! I used a swipping technique (seen from J. McGuire's blog) to create the night sky behind the image that were popped up for dimension. I used a sparkle blue pen to create the frame and added some silver star sequins. I used a heart border stamp from a Simon Says Stamp set to add some interest to the gray curve and then I stamped the Lawn Fawn sentiment in generational stamping (another fun technique) on the white panel with a LF die cut heart. . I used colours from the www.cardchallenges.com/2017/05/mft-color-challenge-70.html and the sketch from www.cardchallenges.com/2017/05/wednesday-sketch-challenge.... This is my entry for the latest MFT Sketch Challenge. The bottles were die cut from watercolor paper and sponged with Distress Inks. The splats were made by tapping Distress Stains on the stamped background. TFL!

Thank you for stopping by.

Here is another winter themed card after seeing the charity Kat Scrappiness is helping, Coffee Oasis, on her blog katscrappinessblog.com. For this card, I used some Lawn Fawn snowflake dies, Jane Doodles snowman image and Recollections Merry Christmas sentiment. With all the snowflakes it reminds me of the song Winter Wonderland. I am submitting this card to katscrappinessblog.com/charity-blog-hop/, www.cardchallenges.com/2018/12/wednesday-sketch-challenge..., www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/?p=14740, yournextstamp.com/blog/17199-2/ (Seasonal Song is Winter Wonderland), www.lawnfawnatics.com/challenges/lawn-fawnatics-challenge...

I used two different stamp sets for this card that had not yet seen ink - YAY! I really like the latest color challenge at MFT, but I think my colors are a bit brighter than the sample. I'll be sending this to Vera's Caring Hearts Drive (lingshappyplace.blogspot.com/p/2017-caring-hearts-card-dr...), so hopefully it will brighten someone's day. The main panel was inked, embossed and then die cut using a Lawn Fawn die. I die cut the hill using the same LF die and then cutting it with a MFT die. The snowman and two little snowflakes are popped up with foam tape. TFL!

Stamped the CL181 = HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

Thanks for looking :)

Last week I joined my two dear friends to visit at tea house and enjoy an afternoon tea. I loved the chance to drink some wonderful teas and at the same time spend time with these sweet friends. I plan to use this card to pocket scrapbook a picture of us enjoying our time together. The journalling card from Lawn Fawn was stamped with 2 Paper smooches images and the MFT sentiment was stamped cut and then I just substituted the word Tea instead of coffee. I am submitting this card to www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-..., coffeelovingcardmakers.com/2016/09/2016-fall-coffee-lover..., www.simonsaysstampblog.com/blog/work-it-wednesday-septemb..., wordartwednesday.blogspot.com/2016/09/anything-goes-chall..., www.cardchallenges.com/2016/09/wednesday-sketch-challenge...

The blue background was coloured with watercolour paints, embossed with a cuttlebug embossing folder then sanded back. After the piece was cut into squares, each piece was distressed around the edges with walnut stain ink.

The green piece/grass was embossed with a cuttlebug folder and the surface was then inked with walnut stain as well as the edges.

The Hero Arts tree was stamped then coloured in with pencils and each piece cut out. I stamped the same tree onto acetate then stuck down the coloured pieces over the top with foam squares. The flowers are highlighted with glossy accents.

TFL!

I was inspired to play along with the latest MFT Sketch Challenge. I changed it from landscape to portrait. I stamped and embossed the "congrats" multiple times on watercolor paper, die cut the heart shape and dragged it through watered down distress ink. The pink panel looked too plain without anything so I stamped the bg with the same watered down distress ink. TLF!

My BIL loves BBQ so I made this card for him using a Z fold design, MFT die cut (those kraft pieces are actually the cozies from the coffee cup die, Lawn Fawn images and the Relish the day sentiment and Mama Elephant HB sentiment). The Z fold can be seen clearly in this next picture www.flickr.com/photos/74238397@N06/42798236214. I am submitting this card to www.lawnfawnatics.com/announcement/lawn-fawnatics-challen..., www.cardchallenges.com/2018/07/wednesday-sketch-challenge..., www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-..., wordartwednesday.blogspot.com/2018/07/challenge-weeks-344...

This cute snowman is from a Paper Smooches set and I'd like to say he is Frosty's cousin (Song inspiration is Frosty the Snowman). He's pretty jolly like Frosty eh? I decided to make this winter themed card after seeing the Charity Kat Scrappiness is helping, Coffee Oasis, on her blog katscrappinessblog.com. When I went to create, I first made a soft blue winter background using a makeup brush and Memento inks. I added a Verve sentiment and then placed the Prisma Colour pencil coloured snowman on top. I finished the card by adding a few snowflakes using a gel pen. I am submitting this card to katscrappinessblog.com/charity-blog-hop/, www.cardchallenges.com/2018/12/wednesday-sketch-challenge..., www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/?p=14740, yournextstamp.com/blog/17199-2/

I decided to give my original card I made for our mail man to another community helper. I actually wanted to include an envelope on the card so this tiny Simon Says stamp image worked perfectly with the dotted line from MFT Perk up set. I added 3 more images to the scene from Paper Smooches. I used various spring colours and the bicycle with sentiments and tiny images from Lawn Fawn (I'm so thankful and tiny heart) and MFT (Thanks and dot cluster. I am submitting this card to www.cardchallenges.com/2017/05/wednesday-sketch-challenge... and www.lawnfawnatics.com/challenges/lawn-fawnatics-challenge..., www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/?p=8968 (circle=bicycle tire), wordartwednesday.blogspot.com/2017/05/challenge-284-285-a..., www.flickr.com/groups/simonsaysstamp/discuss/721576823418... (We always bike in the spring and summer)

The design was inspired by the latest MFT Sketch Challenge; the colors were inspired by the latest W&W Color Challenge, and I challenged myself to use some of my NBUS. I love the result. The main panel was stamped with distress ink and cut, mounted on a slightly larger panel of gold vellum and then mounted to the card base. The bear and his waffle are popped with foam tape. TFL!

A dear friend of mine is really battling through the last few months...her father passed away after a lengthy illness and now is dealing with a depressed mother and then last month she found out her mother-in-law has cancer. My friend is one of the strongest people I know but I wanted to let her know I am there for her. I used this digi image and for the life of me I forgot from where...possibly Sassy Cheryls. Anyways, I coloured it using prisma colour pencils and then used a Simon Says Stamp SSS border stamp for the ground. I used a combo of Hero Arts, Winnie and Walter (you) and Avery Elle (Lots of love) for the sentiment. The design is based on the sketch at MFT card challenges www.cardchallenges.com/2016/02/wednesday-sketch-challenge... I added a shower of Lawn Fawn die cut hearts in various shades of blue. I used glossy accents on them and the water the 2 friends are standing in. I added some stripes to the little girls boots so that there are 2 patterns on her (stripes and polka dots) ...see the 2 theme. That is for the Winnie and Walter challenge www.blog.winniewalter.com/2016/02/w-belated-2nd-birthday-.... I finished the card with slipping in a die cut Hero Arts sun behind the popped up image. I hope this card brings a bit of sunshine into my friend's day. I am submitting this card to www.blog.winniewalter.com/2016/02/w-belated-2nd-birthday-..., www.thedailymarker.com/2016/02/day-1-shading-w-distress-ink/, tictactoechallenge.blogspot.com/2016/02/challenge-three.html (hearts, confetti and sketch) , www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-..., www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/?p=4157, www.cardchallenges.com/2016/02/wednesday-sketch-challenge...

Challenge:

SSS Wednesday "Stamp It for Stamptember" www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-...; and MFT CAS Birthday www.cardchallenges.com/2018/08/the-birthday-project-cas-b....

This birthday card incorporated an Lawn Fawn image (cake water coloured, hearts, circle is a bubble from a Birdie told me set and "yay" in versamark ink) and sentiments in background square. The sentiment bubble was embossed and included a Simon Says Stamps sentiment in Lawn Fawn word bubble. I cut the heart using a Hero Arts die cut and then finished off the card with a sparkle pen to create a border around the square. I followed the sketch at www.cardchallenges.com/2017/03/wednesday-sketch-challenge.... I am submitting this card to www.cardchallenges.com/2017/03/wednesday-sketch-challenge..., www.lawnfawnatics.com/announcement/welcome-to-our-first-c..., www.thedailymarker.com/2017/03/day-1-coloring-with-sharpi..., www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/?p=8405 and www.flickr.com/groups/simonsaysstamp/discuss/721576815054... (this card reminds me of spring because of thebright colours ( blues, greens- in this card) coming from the earth (kraft cardstock).

Here is a card I made for a friend who is always there with a cheerful hello. Plus she is married to an very nice Irish fellow so I hope she likes the green colours. I used the Eastery colour combo from www.cardchallenges.com/2016/03/mft-color-challenge-41.html. I used a Paper smooches coffee image and an Avery Elle sentiment. A bit of embossing creates some texture along with the scalloped circle cut from some old velvet paper that I had in my stash. I am submitting this card to www.cardchallenges.com/2016/03/mft-color-challenge-41.html, 7kidschallengeblog.blogspot.com/2016/03/challenge-147-any... coffeelovingcardmakers.com/2016/03/spring-coffee-lovers-b..., and aaacards.blogspot.de/2016/03/game-60-easter.html (easter colours of green and yellow)

Every year I like to make my three kids a back to school card. So this was the card design I chose with the help of the sketch at www.cardchallenges.com/2018/08/wednesday-sketch-challenge.... The colours are perfect for teenagers and my youngest who is going into 5th (last yr of elementary school -sad face). The colours came from the www.cardchallenges.com/2018/08/mft-color-challenge-100.html MFT challenge. I used the following products Simon Says Stamp star images and red sentiment, white embossed Lawn Fawn sentiment and 2 punched hearts from kraft and red cardstock. I created the vertical stripes using a post it note and ink blending. I am submitting this card to www.cardchallenges.com/2018/08/mft-color-challenge-100.html, www.cardchallenges.com/2018/08/wednesday-sketch-challenge..., wordartwednesday.blogspot.com/2018/08/anything-goes-350-3..., www.simonsaysstampblog.com/blog/work-wednesday-august-sep...(embossed stamping and masking sentiments to stamp)

This cute tag was created with a Versamark pen (scribbled a circle element) and some glitter embossing powder from Recollections. The inspiration came from two places the sketch at MFT and the glitz and glitter theme on day 5 of ellenhutson.typepad.com/the_classroom_new/2015/12/12-tags... (Carissa's tag had kraft and glitter on it and that's what I used on my tag too). I then added with some foam tape 2 cute Paper Smooches images. The coffee cup was stamped on to cardstock and then I added some paper pieced snowflake paper and some glitter to the lid. I used the sketch at MFT challenge blog and added a computer generated sentiment. I finished the tag with a bunch of stitching dies also from Paper Smooches. This tag will be going to my daughter's teacher who loves coffee! I am submitting this tag to www.cardchallenges.com/2015/12/wednesday-sketch-challenge..., www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/?p=3303 (pinch of blue on coffee cup), www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-..., blog.inspirationemporium.com/?p=3537, coffeelovingcardmakers.com/2015/12/2015-winterholiday-cof..., ellenhutson.typepad.com/the_classroom_new/2015/12/12-tag-... and sugarpeadesigns.com/blog/2015/11/18/spd22-home-for-the-ho...

Unfortunately, my DH needed another sympathy card - this time for a woman. I was inspired by the latest MFT color challenge, although my colors are a bit darker. I watercolored the background, stamped the smaller flowers in blue and then white embossed the larger flower and stem on top. I removed as much color as I could with water and a paper towel and then I watercolor the stem and flower. TFL!

I made this card for a teenager in our family who is very fun and loving. Since we just went to the beach with him I wanted to use this great (out of business) There She goes set called Aquaholic. I used the sketch from www.cardchallenges.com/2016/07/wednesday-sketch-challenge... and grouped all the images as my circular element. I grounded the images using a Verve border stamp. I first stamped the sand castle on tan cardstock, then stamped the rest on white and coloured with Prisma colour pencils. I repeatedly stamped Happy Birthday 10 times using a small Mama Elephant stamp set. I finished the card by mounting it all on a Lawn Fawn Journaling die and then adding the two vellum stripes to match the sketch. Challenges: www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-... beach and colours, www.cardchallenges.com/2016/07/wednesday-sketch-challenge..., www.simonsaysstampblog.com/blog/work-it-wednesday-june-2016/, www.thedailymarker.com/2016/07/day-1-coloring-book-card/ and www.cardchallenges.com/2016/07/an-mft-10th-birthday-celeb...

I needed one more Halloween card and when I saw this week's MFT Sketch this idea popped into my head. My DD's roommate owns a cat, but they don't have any fish. Whew!

I stamped the fishbowl on acetate using StazOn ink. The two fish, gravel and plant were stamped on white cs and colored with Copic markers. I then ran them through my Xyron machine upside down to add the adhesive to the front. Great way to add something to acetate or vellum without the adhesive showing. TFL!

My FIL was a nutritionist at a nursing home and cooks for himself. I thought this image from MFT worked perfectly for him. I also added a Kelly Purkey Simon Says Stamp Father's Day sentiment from the "Dude" set. I first masked off the square then added chalks to create the background (love this technique of masking), coloured the image using Prisma colour pencils, drew a curved line using a die and then stamped the utensils from the same MFT set (Recipe for Happiness) to mimic the curve in the sketch. I finished off the card with the Kelly Purkey sentiment and score lines on the bottom half. I am submitting this card to www.cardchallenges.com/2017/05/wednesday-sketch-challenge..., www.cardchallenges.com/2017/05/mft-color-challenge-70.html and wordartwednesday.blogspot.com/2017/05/challenge-284-285-a...

Hello!

Today I have a card for three challenges. Here are the respective links, just in case you might like to join in all the fun:

MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge - Sketch 251 - www.cardchallenges.com/2015/10/wednesday-sketch-challenge...

RIC #94 - Houghton Bridal - runwayinspired.blogspot.pt/2015/10/ric94-houghton-bridal....

Waffle Flower Challenge – October, 2015 - waffleflower.com/2015/10/waffle-flower-challenge-october-...

I started die cutting two doilies from cereal box and adhere them together. Then dry embossed the white piece of cardstock, adhering a white doily to the back and letting a portion extend to the card base. Everything else is pretty obvious. I painted the butterfly with watercolours, but wasn’t happy with the tone, so I went over it with Distress inks and spatters of water.

Supplies:

Dies: MFT - Flutter of Butterflies Solid; SC - Single Banner; Waffle Flower - Doily Circle.

Coloring: Royal Talens Ecoline - cyan, grass green, lemon yellow, deep grey; Distress inks - forest moss.

Others: Neenah Solar white cardstock and off-white cardstock; Vellum; Teresa Collins "Nine & Co." 6”x6” paper pad; American Crafts foam stickers; MME “On Trend” flair buttons; SC stars and sequin; Gem; ZIG - clear wink of stella.

Thank you for stopping by.

I made another Christmas card using a Paper Smooches image, Hero Arts Merry die and a Recollections Christmas sentiment. I coloured the image using Zig CC markers on Bristol cardstock. I used the sketch ( I scored the painted blue rectangle multiple times to mimic the vertical lines in the sketch) and colours at www.cardchallenges.com/. I am submitting this card to www.cardchallenges.com/2016/07/wednesday-sketch-challenge..., www.cardchallenges.com/2016/07/mft-color-challenge-49.html, a2zscrapbookingblog.com/2016/07/01/a2z-scrapbooking-july-..., sugarpeadesigns.com/blog/2016/07/13/mix-it-up-challenge-7/ and www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/?p=5801 (these colours are very nautical themed)

These two images look like they could be the best of friends don't they? A friendly chubby snowman and Rudolph? The Paper Smooches snowman images was coloured with Zig Clean Colour markers and the reindeer image was made a while back using colour pencils. I used the sketch at www.cardchallenges.com/2016/08/wednesday-sketch-challenge... and the colours are from yournextstamp.com/blog/sketch-and-color-challenge-45/ challenge.I stamped a bunch of Inkadinkado snowflake images on black card stock and then used an American Crafts metallic blue marker to create a frame. I then inked up a punched out circle and placed a die cut snowflake on it which I covered with sparkle from a gel pen (same sparkle on the snowman and Rudolph's nose). I finished the card with a sentiment from 3 different Paper Smooches stamp sets (from top to bottom the stamps were from A Blessed Christmas, Party Posse and Teen Routine). I am submitting this card to www.cardchallenges.com/2016/08/wednesday-sketch-challenge..., papersmooches.blogspot.com/2016/08/august-challenge-frien..., www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/?p=6093, yournextstamp.com/blog/sketch-and-color-challenge-45/ (colours)

I used many different companies on this card ... Paper Smooches leaves were watercoloured on the circle, Jane Doodle's drink, and Lawn Fawn sentiment. I am submitting this card to www.cardchallenges.com/2018/07/wednesday-sketch-challenge... (sketch)

These two images are from Paper smooches and I paper pieced the cup. I added a Lawn Fawn snowflake die along with a journaling die cut to create the rectangular element in the MFT card challenge sketch. The Hero Arts sentiment was stamped in navy to go along with the colour challenge at MFT card challenges. I am submitting this card to www.cardchallenges.com/2016/07/mft-color-challenge-49.html, www.cardchallenges.com/2016/07/wednesday-sketch-challenge..., www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/simon-says-... , ablognamedhero.blogspot.com/2016/07/matey.html and wordartwednesday.blogspot.com/2016/07/anything-goes-chall..., sugarpeadesigns.com/blog/2016/07/13/mix-it-up-challenge-7/

I made this card for Winter Sim's Card from the Heart Card drive winterwonderlandcrafter.blogspot.com/2018/01/2018-cards-f... for children in hospitals and foster homes. I have really enjoyed participating each year and this year I wanted to do it again. Here is my first card! I used a new double stitched rectangle die from Kat Scrappiness, stitched Taylored Expression circle dies, heart die from MFT, Lawn Fawn images and sentiment and Zig markers. The sketch is loosely based on the challenge at www.cardchallenges.com/2018/01/wednesday-sketch-challenge...

I love peacocks...their gorgeous feathers always catch my eye. I used a cute Hero Arts peacock image and a Simon Says Stamp sentiment. I die cut a scalloped circle and then made it into a frame by cutting out the interior with a circle die. I embossed a piece of teal card stock with a peacock inspired pattern and layered everything together while following the MFT sketch at www.cardchallenges.com/2016/03/wednesday-sketch-challenge....
