she sits by the road sorting out disused cardboard boxes.

though she looks miserable and unhappy, her face lights up with joy when a shopkeeper passed on his unwanted boxes to her.

unfortunately, i wasn't able to capture that moment due to the awkward angle, and the risk of getting run down by incoming vehicles.

Cardboard, duct tape and a good cause to raise money for. The Corinthian Cardboard Regatta had a perfect day for the event and drones were definitely in the air capturing every soggy moment.

i've been painting a lot on cardboard recently. i like the colour and the texture. i think the paint/markers stand out so much more on the board.

the good thing about cardboard is its free (and i can act like i'm doing something for the environment by recycling) and i can try things out as i'm not really wasting a canvas or anything.

i've also been quite obsessed by blobs, drips, lumps and bumps recently.

night folds its velvet curtain around the narrow streets of palma’s old town, where golden hues spill from the storefronts, casting a warm glow on a scene less ordinary. a passerby, a ghostly blur of motion, dances by a mountain of cardboard boxes piled up like an urban still life. it’s as if each box, with its own story, now rests in the after-hours of consumption, stamped with the irony of a window sign that exclaims “designed with love.” there's poetry in this juxtaposition, a silent commentary on the transient treasures we hold dear by day, discarded by night. the photo feels like a still from a film, one that captures the essence of life’s fleeting nature, a moment of transition frozen in time. the city breathes, its heartbeat palpable in the quiet shuffle of feet against cobblestone, the murmur of distant chatter, the gentle rustle of paper in the wind.

17"x34" cardboard paintings. Hopefully, when the weather breaks, these pieces will be left in public places for people to find....

once again (sic) in my favorite pub ...

Recycling, same problem, different material as in the previous photo. Recycling is great but when it's in the inner city problems arise, too much noise, dust, rats, foul smelling air and other problems that effect surrounding businesses. There is an isolated garbage dump in Victoria, away from the public and it would make more sense to move this facility out of town where it won't bother anyone. Our city fathers are the one's that allowed this, now it's time they opened their eyes.

Looking for cardboard in Mongkok

Day 45, Christchurch, New Zealand:

The original Cathedral was badly damaged in the 2010 and 2011 earthquakes. It is now closed for safety reasons while the structure is either demolished for rebuilding or rebuilt. In the meantime, a temporary building has been built out of, would you believe it, rolled cardboard.

The Cardboard Cathedral was designed by the Japanese architect Shigeru Ban and opened in August 2013. It is located on the site of St John the Baptist Church on the corner of Hereford and Madras Streets in Latimer Square, several blocks from the permanent location of ChristChurch Cathedral.

The Field Recorders' Collective tracks down traditional music collections, many of them recorded far from studios, edits them and optimizes the sound, and then distributes them in these sturdy, handsome and environmentally sensitive cardboard sleeves.

Taken at the (North) American (and Danish!) Fiddle Tunes 2015 Festival, Port Townsend, Washington (state) USA.

Always a good spot for pics, the structure is breathtaking! I had to keep the windows colour as it’s such a contrast to the beams (made from cardboard).
