2 parts kiwi fruit, 1 part raspberry with a shot of tonic and a very sharp kitchen knife!
Had to be fruit this week, I don’t think I’ve taken a shot like this for MM, long overdue!
The title is from an iPad game from way back!
Pepsi is a carbonated soft drink manufactured by PepsiCo. Originally created and developed in 1893 by Caleb Bradham and introduced as Brad's Drink, it was renamed as Pepsi-Cola in 1898, and then shortened to Pepsi in 1961. Pepsi was first invented in 1893 as "Brad's Drink" by Caleb Bradham, who sold the drink at his drugstore in New Bern, North Carolina.
It was renamed Pepsi-Cola in 1898, "Pepsi" because it was advertised to relieve dyspepsia (indigestion) and "Cola" referring to the cola flavor. Some have also suggested that "Pepsi" may have been a reference to the drink aiding digestion like the digestive enzyme pepsin,[ but pepsin itself was never used as an ingredient to Pepsi-Cola.

"Socată" or "Suc de Soc" is a traditional Romanian soft drink made from the flowers of the European elder (or elderberry) shrub, Sambucus nigra (Soc in Romanian). It may be non-alcoholic or, usually, low-alcoholic, and can be carbonated or non-carbonated, depending on the fermentation type and duration. It is produced by the natural fermentation of elder flowers in a lemon and sugar or (traditionally) honey solution.
And it's delicious!

DPS Assignment: SOOC (3rd place)
I have been so looking forward to the SOOC assignment because my ultimate goal is to be able to shoot a perfect shot without manipulating the picture. Here is my fun and colorful shot... I was trying my best to create more bubbles while chucking the color pencils into the carbonated water. Not the easiest thing to do but sure very fun!!!

I found another SOOC with better composition but less bubbles:
Today I decided to play with a carbonated beverage for the first time. This immature flower of an English Ivy was able to capture the bubbles for a short time....before they floated away.
It made me think about this life and how fortunate we are to be alive....or as Marcus Aurelius stated; "Live your life as if you are ready to say goodbye to it at any moment, as if the time left for you were some pleasant surprise."
……Water! Where would be without it!! The Macro Monday’s theme this week is ‘Beverage’ and water is the carrier for everything and anything we throw in it! My interpretation just has ‘bubbles’ in it - Jill’s favourite, carbonated water. I added a slice of lemon to the tiny and old cocktail glass for the bubbles to inhabit. HMM to all on Flickr, Alan:-) ..…….. Stay locked down and cosy to stay safe and to keep EVERYONE else safe too! A VERY BIG THANK YOU to ALL the key workers who are carrying on to benefit the rest of us - we applaud you all. Alan;-)👏👏👏👏👏

The paperclip is floating on the water's surface whose surface tension permits the paperclip to rest slightly lower than the water's normal surface.
The bubbles are caused because I used a soda drink here.
It took me a long time to get this, because first the paperclip kept sinking and when it did float, it did keep moving on the water - even more than in plain water, because of the rising bubbles.

As soon as I saw this week's Macro Mondays' theme of `Beverage', I decided I would shoot a macro of Irn-Bru (iron brew), a Scottish carbonated soft drink. The advertising slogans have included `Scotland's other national drink' and `Made in Scotland from girders', a reference to Irn-Bru's rusty colour. After vigorously shaking the bottle so many times I don't know if it will ever be safe to open(!), and shining a light through the Irn-Bru, I ended up with this rather abstract, fizzy, image, where the fizzy bubbles (large bubble on the right; various smaller ones on the left) have acted as lenses, showing some of the label.
As a child, I always loved watching the bubbles in a carbonated liquid race to the top of a glass. Some things in life just don't change!

Thank you for taking the time to view my photo. Your faves and comments are greatly appreciated!
It's delicious! It's nutritious! It's the new nectar of the gods! Yes indeedy - champagne and carrot juice!!! Chock full of vitamins and what a kick!
Er, well, it sounds like one helluva thing to do to champagne but, after all, Bellinis are champagne and peach juice and they're fab. If anyone tries this new drink and lives to tell about it, please let us know how it is. :-o

This photograph captures the timeless essence of Coca-Cola — bold, refreshing, and iconic. With rich tones, crisp bubbles, and that signature red, the image evokes both nostalgia and modern cool. More than just a drink, it’s a moment — chilled, carbonated, and unforgettable.

I visited this plant because it was installing an experimental post-combustion capture system (PCC) to extract CO2 for use in the production of carbonated beverages.

A soft drink is a drink that usually contains water (often carbonated), a sweetener, and a natural and/or artificial flavouring. The sweetener may be a sugar, high-fructose corn syrup, fruit juice, a sugar substitute (in the case of diet drinks), or some combination of these. Soft drinks may also contain caffeine, colouring, preservatives, and/or other ingredients.
Soft drinks are called "soft" in contrast with "hard" alcoholic drinks. Small amounts of alcohol may be present in a soft drink, but the alcohol content must be less than 0.5% of the total volume of the drink in many countries and localities if the drink is to be considered non-alcoholic. Fruit punch, tea (even kombucha), and other such non-alcoholic drinks are technically soft drinks by this definition, but are not generally referred to as such.
Soft drinks may be served cold, over ice cubes, or at room temperature. They are available in many container formats, including cans, glass bottles, and plastic bottles. Containers come in a variety of sizes, ranging from small bottles to large multi-liter containers. Soft drinks are widely available at fast food restaurants, movie theatres, convenience stores, casual-dining restaurants, dedicated soda stores, vending machines, and bars from soda fountain machines. Soft drinks are usually served in paper or plastic disposable cups in the first three venues. In casual dining restaurants and bars, soft drinks are often served in glasses made from glass or plastic. Soft drinks may be drunk with straws or sipped directly from the cups

I wanted to play around with textures and fizzy water hoping that I might get some interesting shots. It turns out, fizzy water can be tricky. This little thread leaf coreopsis flower refused to stay at the bottom of a wide round vase filled with carbonated water. It kept bobbing to the top. In hindsight, I should have borrowed a fishing hook and lead weight from my neighbor, but that idea didn't hit me until my frustration put an end to the shoot. I'll try again in a few days...With a rose, perhaps, or a black eyed susan.
A mojito is traditionally made of five ingredients: white rum, sugar (traditionally sugar cane juice), lime, carbonated water, and mint. Its combination of sweetness, refreshing citrus and mint flavors is intended to complement the potent kick of the rum, and have made this clear highball a popular summer drink.
When preparing a mojito, lime juice is added to sugar (or syrup) and mint leaves. The mixture is then gently mashed with a muddler. The mint leaves should only be bruised to release the essential oils and should not be shredded. Then rum is added and the mixture is briefly stirred to dissolve the sugar and to lift the mint sprigs up from the bottom for better presentation. Finally, the drink is topped with ice cubes and sparkling water, and mint leaves and lime wedges are used to garnish the glass.
The mojito is one of the most famous rum-based highballs. There are several versions of the mojito.
The prompt was "glass of water" and I didn't like the static image so I decided to have some fun with it. Blowing bubbles at 7:30 am with a slight breeze, and the temperature around 28 degrees Fahrenheit was a bit of a challenge. After 10 minutes of trying my light disappeared, my hands were frozen and my lens was in need of a cleaning. This is the most interesting shot and now it's time to move on with my day.
I don't like carbonated beverages so this is the closest to bubbly water that I will drink. Once again, I feel privileged and grateful to have access to clean drinking water.
Can't believe there is only one month left of the year, crazy how quickly it has gone by.

- You should clean fresh tomatoes thoroughly before eating them. The Food Standards Agency comments that "it's a good idea to wash fruit and vegetables before you eat them to ensure that they are clean, and to help remove germs that might be on the outside."
