In Ireland there are normally 3 big dress-up days for a 'girl' - her communion (7-8 years) where she dresses in a 'mini wedding dress'. Her debs (17-18 years) when glitz & glamour are called for & thirdly her wedding day. This shot was taken yesterday at a friends daughters debs as she walked into her family & friends & got the big WOW cheer. It was shot using only available light & I love it because it captures her overwhelming happiness. I used a B&W treatment because the style & look she had chosen was very reminiscent of 50's/60s Glamour……

This was captured by my wife using a Nikon D80. As she was bored shooting the horse shoe bend, she turned her camera towards me and captured me shooting the bend.
I found this shot interesting as it gives a perspective of the depth of the canyon.

Of all the tulip colors, I'm addicted to photographing the yellows, they're beautiful and cheery. These seem to capture the sunlight just perfectly.
