Tonight I got my first lightning photos. It was a frustrating process and I took over 400 pictures! 99% of them were awful or of nothing but the clouds. I always seemed to be a second too slow or get distracted at just the wrong time! I think the first capture was the best. Perhaps I get the money shot during the next storm! I'm now sorting through a bunch of "cool cloud" shots.
M16 The Eagle Nebula in Ha filter only. I managed to capture 1.45hr on this filter consisting of 20x300sec exposures and 3x900sec exposures. Equipment Orion ED80 scope, Camera QHY9 Mono. I now need to get captures for the other two filters S11,O-111 then combine to get my colored picture complete.
