In België was het die dag echt slecht weer, maar bij het naderen van de franse kust klaarde het weer mooi op en reflecteerde de zon mooi op de krijtrotsen.
Cap Khoboï
Extrémité nord de l’île d’Olkhone
Le cap Khoboï se trouve tout au nord de l’île d’Olkhone. Le mot « khoboï » signifie en bouriate « croc, dent mâchelière ». Il est vrai que les contours du cap ressemblent à un croc. Sa vue de côté évoque le profil d’une femme, c’est pourquoi on l'appelle parfois le cap la Roche Déva (la Roche Vierge).
Depuis des temps immémoriaux, le cap Khoboï était considéré comme un lieu sacré, on y organisait des cérémonies de culte.

This adult male Red-capped Robin, Petroica goodenovii, was my first sighting of this distinctive small bird. I found him restlessly patrolling his territory of tall grasses and low trees at an isolated free camping spot off Australia’s dry and fairly arid outback Barkly Highway, between Camooweal, Queensland, and Tennant Creek, Northern Territory.

My new tweed newsboy cap from Hat People. Sadly, my previous cap disappeared (I still hold out hope that it might surface someday) so this is its replacement. It's beginning to break in nicely.
Die Cap San Diego ist ein Museumsschiff mit Liegeplatz an der Überseebrücke im Hamburger Hafen. Das 1961 gebaute Schiff wurde als Stückgutschiff gebaut und war bis in die 1980er Jahre im Liniendienst mit Südamerika eingesetzt.
Das Motorschiff Cap San Diego ist das größte betriebsfähige Museumsfrachtschiff der Welt. Es stellte den Höhepunkt des mechanisierten Frachtschiffbaus in Deutschland dar, bei dem eine maximale Ausprägung der meisten in der Frachtschifffahrt entwickelten Berufsbilder an Bord zu beobachten war.

IdÃl·lica platja de la Costa Blava, entre Calella i Palamós. Pensava que raconets aixà ja ni en quedaven, a les nostres costes. Aquest punt és el més proper a les Illes Formigues, sense ficar-se al mar, és clar.
Llà stima que el dia era gris i fred (aviat plovisquejaria) que si no era per tirar-se a l'aigua!

This small and gorgeous beach is an example of the beauty that the Costa Brava was a century ago. Now the beaches accesible by road are quite crowded, and usually spoiled by modern buildings. But in the area between Calella de Palafrugell and Palamós there are some gorgeous and unspoiled beaches. This one, called Cala del Cap de Planes, can only be rechaed after walking at least 30 minutes.
A trip to "The North", during the worst possible weather. The beauty of planning ahead!
A massive thanks to Fade to Black for entertaining! We had a top class time, and were completely spoilt by incredible scenery, locations and great company.
Not as much LP as we'd like; but that's how it goes sometimes. Especially when you're being chased from behind by the "Beast from the East"!
