The etymology of the name Capri is unclear; it might be traced back to the Ancient Greek κάπρος kápros meaning "wild boar", as the Greeks, who were the first recorded colonists to populate the island, called it Kapreai (Καπρέαι). It could also derive from Latin capreae (goats). Fossils of wild boars have been discovered, lending credence to the "kápros" etymology; on the other hand, the Romans called Capri "goat island".
Via Krupp, è una delle strade più famose dell'isola di Capri, che collega il centro storico dell'isola con la zona balneare di Marina Piccola.
Il magnate tedesco dell'acciaio Friedrich Alfred Krupp, abitando in una suite del centrale hotel Quisisana, non riusciva a raggiungere velocemente Marina Piccola, dove teneva ormeggiato il suo panfilo: comprò quindi l'intera area compresa fra la Certosa di San Giacomo e il Castiglione e vi fece costruire la strada che oggi prende il suo nome.[4]
La isla de Capri es una isla de Italia localizada en el mar Tirreno, en el lado sur del golfo de Nápoles, frente a la península Sorrentina. Ha sido un lugar de célebre belleza y centro vacacional desde la época de la antigua república romana.
Administrativamente, la isla pertenece a la Ciudad metropolitana de Nápoles, en la región de Campania.

You arrive Capri with a ferry or boat, from Sorrento or Naples, then you have to take a bus or "funicolare" to go to Capri town.
Sarebbe stato opportuno inserire uno spicchio di mare per capirne il fascino ma ero troppo stanco per raggiungere il posto giusto.
