Just back from a 10-day vacation on the beautiful island of Mauritius. :) We escaped from winter to the summer...now back home with temperatures hovering around 0 degree Celsius, 30 less than in the tropics...what a contrast!
The location of this Christian church is simply breathtaking, surrounded by flamboyant trees and overlooking a shallow, turquoise lagoon near Cap Malheureux.
In the next days I'll post a series of landscape and fauna images, too.
If you like this photo, your faves, comments and observations are more than welcome!

I wish I had more time to shoot more seascapes during the full moon. The lighting is so surreal, I really enjoyed it.
Below is a 'behind the scene' shot taken by my buddy Phil!
On one of our trips along the coasts of Mauritius we passed this little chapel at the Cap Malheureux. We have read before that this is a very popular place for weddings. There was this red decorated old-timer in front so we stoped the car to have a closer look. We stood there for a while watching and enjoying the atmosphere and good vibrations of the scene. As the professional photographer stepped aside for a moment, I took my chance for this lovely shot.
