Grasse capitale mondiale du parfum
Grasse est une ville de la Côte d'Azur, située dans les collines au nord de la ville de Cannes. Elle est connue pour son industrie du parfum, établie de longue date, dont l'héritage est célébré au musée international de la Parfumerie, en plein cœur de la ville. Certaines grandes parfumeries comme Fragonard, Molinard et Galimard peuvent se visiter. La cathédrale de Grasse, ancienne cathédrale catholique romaine édifiée dans la vieille ville, abrite de nombreuses peintures, dont certaines réalisées par Rubens.

Grasse is a town on the French Riviera, located in the hills north of the city of Cannes. It is known for its long-established perfume industry, whose heritage is celebrated at the International Perfume Museum in the heart of the city. Some large perfumeries such as Fragonard, Molinard and Galimard can be visited. The cathedral of Grasse, a former Roman Catholic cathedral built in the old town, houses many paintings, some of which were painted by Rubens.

Una delle più antiche città degli Stati Uniti, Boston è stata fondata sulla penisola di Shawmut nel 1630 dai coloni puritani inglesi. E' stata teatro di numerosi eventi chiave della Rivoluzione Americana. Molte università della zona fanno Boston un centro internazionale d’istruzione superiore. Boston è sede di alcune importanti squadre sportive tra le quali sono degne di menzione i Boston Red Sox (baseball), i Boston Celtics (basket), e i Boston Bruins (hockey). I New England Patriots (calcio) e i New England Revolution giocano al Gillette Stadium di Foxborough nelle vicinanze. Lo sport è una parte integrante della cultura di Boston e gli sportivi locali sono noti per la loro fanatica devozione per i Red Sox. Wenn man zur morgendlichen Rushhour auf die Abfahrtstafel des Bahnhofs von Amiens blickt, findet sich ein Zielbahnhof besonders häufig: Paris Nord! 6h04, 6h23, 6h38, 6h43 (mit Umstieg in Creil), 7h04... Wer französische Fahrpläne kennt, dem ist klar, dass das ein wirklich ungewöhnlich dichtes Zugangebot ist. Die Strahlkraft der Hauptstadt Paris ist eben ungebrochen und die Zahl der Arbeitnehmer, die täglich auch aus dem weiteren Umland pendeln, rechtfertigt den dichten Takt ohne Zweifel.
Nicht minder üppig sind dabei meist die Zuglängen. Und was den Bahnfotografen erfreut: Ein Großteil der Verbindungen ist noch lokbespannt, entweder als Corail- oder als Doppelstockgarnitur, jeweils mit einer "Nez cassé" an der Spitze! :)
Einer dieser Züge ist der TER 848536 (Amiens - Paris Nord), den ich am 21. Juli 2020 pünktlich zum Sonnenaufgang erwartete. Den ersten und einzigen Zwischenhalt Longueau (samt namhaftem Dépôt) hat der Zug gerade verlassen, als er zwischen Fouencamps und Dommartin im zarten Morgenlicht durch die von weiten Stoppelfeldern überzogene Hügellandschaft der Capitale entgegen strebt. Im Hintergrund wabert auch an diesem Hochsommermorgen noch der für die Somme-Region typische Frühnebel, der hier über dem Flüsschen Avre und diversen kleinen Teichen aufsteigt.
Laut Umlaufplan hätte das übrigens eine BB 22200 mit Corail-Wagen sein sollen, aber über die schicke Multiservice-BB 15049 mit ihrer V2N-Garnitur habe ich mich mindestens genauso gefreut.

Kampong-Chhnang - Des villages flottants, il y en a plein en Asie. J’ai choisi d’aller photographier celui de Kampong-Chhnang, situé à une centaine de kilomètres au nord de la capitale et beaucoup moins fréquenté par les touristes.
Ce village qui flotte sur la rivière « Tonlé Sap » a une particularité. Il est essentiellement habité par une importante communauté vietnamienne.
Floating village
Kampong-Chhnang - Floating villages, there are plenty of them in Asia. I chose to go and photograph that of Kampong-Chhnang, located about a hundred kilometers north of the capital, much less frequented by tourists.
This village which floats on the “Tonlé Sap” river has a particularity. It is mainly inhabited by a large Vietnamese community.
Seconde capitale de Sri Lanka après la destruction d'Anuradhapura en 993, Polonnaruwa comprend, à côté des monuments brahmaniques élevés par les Cholas, les restes monumentaux de la fabuleuse cité-jardin créée au XIIe siècle par Parakramabahu le Grand.
Ce palais, bâti par Parakrama Bahu comptait 7 étages et 1000 pièces, reposant sur plusieurs centaines de piliers peints, rayonnants de motifs de fleur et de plantes grimpantes. Il fût détruit par un incendie, seuls deux étages de cette magnifique demeure ont échappé au flammes. Tout autour, les maisons des serviteurs.
Second capital of Sri Lanka after the destruction of Anuradhapura in 993, Polonnaruwa includes, next to the Brahmanic monuments erected by the Cholas, the monumental remains of the fabulous garden city created in the 12th century by Parakramabahu the Great. This palace, built by Parakrama Bahu had 7 floors and 1000 rooms, resting on several hundred painted pillars, radiating flower motifs and climbing plants. It was destroyed by a fire, only two floors of this magnificent residence escaped the flames. All around, the servants' houses.
In the night of 18th october 2025, we had a beautiful substorm at Notre-Dame-des-Monts, i was a little sick but i trying hard to taking photo!
De Châtelet, au Trocadéro, en passant par le Jardin des Tuileries : 25 Juillet 2019 - une journée historique lors de laquelle la capitale de France a battu son record absolu de chaleur, avec 42,4 degrés à 15h20.
