I took this to demonstrate that 1738 is not the house number (which is 225, visible on the right). Almost every house on mom's street has one of these plaques, the houses all built in the 18th century.
we arrived on cape cod for christmas today. the weather is beautiful and there is even snow outside the door with a hill for sledding. a candlight service tonight and gingerbread with whipped cream for dessert. feeling very grateful and content.
This photo is by my sister, Pat Rogers (see www.fotolog.net/colorstalker/?photo_id=9892728). She`s a painter & collage maker (see www.fotolog.net/colorstalker/?photo_id=9791092). This is one of her 1st shots with a new digital Canon. It`s of the marsh near her home in Sandwich on Cape Cod after the recent blizzard. The band of amazing warm white light that bissects the image horizontally is new snow on the dunes. Behind them is Cape Cod Bay. Pat writes: "Trying to share the big storm-just learning." Quick learner.
