I wish cats are able to maintain their youthful looks and vigor, but they're not meant to. Cats get old and eventually pass on to make way for newborn kittens, or there will be a gross overpopulation of felines in this world. 🐈🌈
Apologies for the small sized video. It was taken with my old 6 Megapixel PowerShot S3 IS which only supported the archaic 640 x 480 resolution for video.
This airport was Malaysia's first international airport (lol) from 1965 to early 1998, when it was replaced by the ultra modern, KL International Airport in Sepang in 1998.
In its heydays, it had handled large Boeing 747s, Mc Donnell Douglas DC 10-30s and even the BAE Concorde, which Singapore Airlines operated together with British Airways for a brief period.
Today the Subang Airport serves as a local hub for short ranged, domestic flights operated by Malindo Air, Firefly and Berjaya Air. Most of the commercial aircraft operating out of Subang Airport are the small, twin turboprop kind.
Firefly Air's ATR 72-600 take off video clip from the Penang International Airport. At the 17 second mark, the Second Penang Bridge link with the mainland can be seen.
At the 40 second mark you can see the small Jerejak island just off the main Penang island, which has unfortunately been vastly exploited for commercial development.
I have a penchant for taking landing and take off videos from the window seat and it's something I've done since 1998, with a Hi-8 video camera.
I prefer to take photo stills when the flight is straight and level. IMO, video clips @ 30,000 feet are pretty mundane with nothing much to see.
I had to do this in order to distract Joey from the discomfort of the acupuncture needles in his skin. While it's not like the pain of a hypodermic needle puncturing into his body or blood vein, after a while Joey started to squirm in the cat carrier.
One of the needles went missing and unaccounted for. Dr Susanna was afraid in case Joey had swallowed it, but it didn't seem like he did. She promptly replaced the needle.
Those Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127 turboprops are pretty quiet from the cabin, even at full take off power.
