Walking the coastal paths and mountains of Madeira.

Calm low water on the River Teign on a hot, sultry day.

Dartmoor National Park.

Pretty, tiny Pom Pom Flowers that are part of the Chrysanthemum family. They grow to a height of about six inches and come in different shades of pink with yellow centres.

Natures mesh framework that holds life together.

Taken down in Dumfries and Galloway a few weekends ago.

The river Teign runs through steep sided cliffs were Trees, Gorse and Firs cling on for life.

Dartmoor National Park.

Took this in the last embers of blue hour at Tarbet pier, Loch Lomond. Sunset was still going well after 930pm and the clouds rolling in made this an extra special long exposure.

The poinsettia was first associated with Christmas in southern Mexico in the 1600s, when Franciscan priests used the colorful leaves and bracts to adorn extravagant nativity scenes. I love having one of these lovely bright red plants at Christmas time. The star-shaped leaf pattern is said to symbolise the Star of Bethlehem.

A lonely little Scabious Flower trying to survive the cold of Winter.

Sitting at the pier on Loch Lomond waiting for the sunset, clouds were clear for a short while before they returned for the sunset.

An exhibition of art in the Tate Modern created a display of shadows and shapes on the wall.

I eyed up this image two days previously but didn't have the camera with me. On that day there was an old rowing boat tied up to the post. I was a little disappointed to arrive this time with my camera and find the boat no longer there. I still went with the shot and liked the result, even with out the rowing boat.

Another great shot from a fab if not chilly session last year. Stay safe.

Taken down near Kirkcudbright in May.

The Tree looked like it was hanging on in there, permanently fighting a battle against the wind.

A coastal footpath through banks of Wild Garlic and Bluebells. The smell was amazing, if you like garlic that is...

One of my new favourite species. The Tawny owl, had the pleasure of seeing this one during the daylight hours.

November on the River Teign. Dartmoor National Park.

Both the leaves and flowers of Wild Garlic are edible. The leaves can be eaten raw or used in sauces and soups; the flowers, which bloom later in the season, make great additions to salads.

The magical world of Fairies hides away. They sleep on leaves in secret gardens, draw rainbows to brighten rainy days and hang stars in the sky for a nightlight.

Believe in the magic.

Taken down in Dumfries and Galloway this weekend.

Derelict and forgotten. What stories hide within the remains, what tales could be told I wonder as I look upon this once loved but now forgotten ghostly facade.

Another image from last night down the river Clyde at Dumbarton estuary. Glorious colours from the sunset on this chilly spring evening.
