Just some hyacinths enjoying a spring shower from this morning. With the forecast looking oh so lovely, and being the start of spring break, there's an electricity in the air....an excited feeling, anticipating warm days, and good times ahead :-)

It's been quite some time since I've taken any digital infra-red photos, or any at all, regardless of the medium. So here we are, again – alien-looking, but familiar landscapes.
Taken with an ancient (and unmodified) Pentax K100D Super digital camera with smc Pentax-DA 18–55mm F3.5–5.6 AL II kit lens, using a cheap, Green.L IR 720nm filter.
Custom white balance is the key here, but nailing something that produces good colours and the camera recognises as acceptable is a process that requires many retries.

Not many flowers have bloomed here except for the crocuses. Our tulips are just starting to come up but not in bloom yet. SInce today was such a rainy and cold day that I decide to get creative once again with the Easter candy and make my own Spring "blooms".

The "daisy" set up with the eggs the other day made me want to make more.
It is very hard to play and work with candy when you have teenagers in the house who just want to eat your props while you still need them. :)
Ah, this fabric is another severe case of "Oh look, a fabric store! Let me just check what they have, I don't think I'll buy anything..."
And then she comes out of the store with color, texture, pattern and shine in a bag!

Daffodils mean spring to me, even though the calendar says it’s still a few days away. It’s wonderful to see their cheerful yellow blooms in my garden.

It seems like there have been Easter things in the stores for ages. In a little over a week, the holiday will finally be here.
My mother-in-law gifted me some of her beloved glass candy containers. This is the only one with the original candy in it. I hope she is looking down with a smile on her face.
The church here dates back to the 14th century, but more was added in the 15th and in the 1700s some alterations were made. In the springtime it looks lovely.

I used Bondaweb to bond felt letters to a piece of checked cotton. The font is called 'Sniglet', from dafont.com.
I displayed these bunny brooches in a box frame to which i'd made the back easy to remove, attached it with velcro tabs. The bunnies are pinned to felt which is also held in place with sticky-backed velcro spots.
