It's been quite some time since I've taken any digital infra-red photos, or any in total, regardless of the medium. So here we are, again – alien-looking, but familiar landscapes.
Taken with an ancient (and unmodified) Pentax K100D Super digital camera with smc Pentax-DA 18–55mm F3.5–5.6 AL II kit lens, using a cheap, Green.L IR 720nm filter.
Custom white balance is the key here, but nailing something that produces good colours and the camera recognises as acceptable is a process that requires many retries.

This week's theme for the Flickr Macro Monday group is "Egg." The instructions were so simple, they didn't exist. Simply "egg."
Candy Spring
I bought some miniature Cadbury candy eggs for this challenge since I had used real eggs for a recent Macro Monday (It's A-Peeling to Me). These candy eggs look and feel like real wild bird's eggs and taste like M&Ms. (Psst, they are delicious with coffee!) I didn't just want to shoot the eggs by themselves, so I created a candy nest in which they could nestle. Chow mien noodles coated in melted chocolate chips and formed into a nest shape made a perfect resting spot for these sweet treats. Then I decided to take it one step further and gently placed my little creation in our blooming rose bush, framing the scene with some natural greenery from the bush.

The "daisy" set up with the eggs the other day made me want to make more.
It is very hard to play and work with candy when you have teenagers in the house who just want to eat your props while you still need them. :)

It seems like there have been Easter things in the stores for ages. In a little over a week, the holiday will finally be here.
The church here dates back to the 14th century, but more was added in the 15th and in the 1700s some alterations were made. In the springtime it looks lovely.
My mother-in-law gifted me some of her beloved glass candy containers. This is the only one with the original candy in it. I hope she is looking down with a smile on her face.

I used Bondaweb to bond felt letters to a piece of checked cotton. The font is called 'Sniglet', from dafont.com.
I displayed these bunny brooches in a box frame to which i'd made the back easy to remove, attached it with velcro tabs. The bunnies are pinned to felt which is also held in place with sticky-backed velcro spots.
Spring Roll= Rice Paper, Twizzlers, and gum balls.
Dipping Sauce= Strawberry Syrup and Nerd candy Sprinkled on top.
