My trusty FED 2 with Jupiter 8 50mm f/2 lens and Ilford FP4 that I used for this challenge hosted by jason Avery over on Twitter. I had always planned to use my FED 2 for this challenge, but the weather and a nasty cold had conspired against me. I was running late and had a walk around my garden to find some Textures and keep my commitment to the challenge.

I’ve been taking part in the #camerachallenge run by Jason Avery over on Twitter. Week 2’s challenge was to recreate a famous artwork. I chose Steichen’s portrait of Gloria Swanson 😳😬

Things I’ve learned:

1. It is very hard to take an in focus selfie when using a LF camera.

2. Choose a film that you have plenty of instead of 5 shots because you’re gonna waste a shit ton trying to get it right.

3. Even if doing stuff like this scares the shit out of you, do it anyway.
