Calligraphy Art and Art Studio Apps

A few hours.
Still intent on studio housecleaning, a mostly black and white book on Elsworth Kelly went straight into the donations bag without hesitation.
Next in hand, a book on Bonnard, published in the 1960s, and inherited from my mother. It too has lots of black and white but a sufficient color plates section to warrant keeping unless/until I acquire a better Bonnard book. I do love his paintings.
I started this piece in the morning using the Calligraphy Art app and was really enjoying it. Until it crashed on me and I lost some work. Although I had saved a little while before the crash, there's no way to import an image back into Calligraphy Art so I had to finish it in the evening a different way.
I looked in Brushes, Sketchbook Pro & Art Studio, and Art Studio most easily enabled me to make a sort of chisel pen to emulate the marks made in Calligraphy Art, so that's where I finished it.
As I also wanted to stick to the limited palette of Calligraphy Art, I made a page of color swatches, and imported that into Art Studio. I selected only colors from the swatches, and used only the chisel pen. I can tell which part is which but I hope it's not obvious to anyone else.

You can choose from a limited set of solid colors, or a set of 'mixed' colors that change with each stroke or curve, which is what I used for most of this.
There are a variety of pen points and burshes and backgrounds to choose from. You can import a texture for your strokes but you can't import a background. When you import a texture it will apply to everything you've drawn and you don't seem to be able to undo...
It's designed for you to practice both western and asian calligraphy, and I believe there are lesson/instructions but I jumped straight to the section where I could check out using the tools to draw...

(2019) Everlasting
Have been busy moving, and left me not much time to post anything for daily art.
Of course, the recent unresolved issue with Instagram also brought down my spirit a little.
But something is everlasting, like love, like family, like the essence of truth and beauty.
I do think goodness and truthfulness will prevail over evilness and lies, even it will takes a life time.
I guess this is what a believer calls what faith is.

一直忙著搬家，沒有留下太多空閒去發布任何每日藝術。
當然，最近Instagram未解決的問題也讓我情緒有些低落。
但有些東西是天長地久的，如愛一樣，像家庭一樣，似真理和美的本質。
我堅信善良和誠實將勝過邪惡和謊言，不是不到，只是時候未到。
我想這就是信徒所說的信仰。
