Glorious! In this Nantucket kitchen decorated by Sandi Holland, walls are painted Navajo White and cabinets are Tudor Brown, both by Benjamin Moore. Counters are Calcutta Gold marble.
“I'm a great believer in big islands,” says Holland. “The mistake people often make is putting the island and the counters too far apart. All you need is room for two people to pass.”

Crisp, white cabinetry paired with black soapstone and Calcutta marble sets the tone for this elegant, multi-functional kitchen and living area remodel. The space is complete with a baking center, banquette seating and a built-in snack bar as the focal point, as glass cabinets wrap around a corner, further defining the space. The style and millwork of the home were continued in the columns flanking the apron sink and featured detailing on the built-in snack bar.
