On Tuesday, June 20, 2017, Mike and I visited our new home in East Austin for the first time since we closed on it the day before. I thought it would be a good opportunity to take some photos before we started moving our things in and furnishing the place. The ground floor has an open-concept design; I took this shot from the dining area (in front of the pantry door) facing into the kitchen. I love the combination of the navy-blue custom cabinets and bright white Caesarstone counters/island and tile backsplash. Mike (our resident chef) was thrilled about the Bosch gas stove, and we both thought the wine fridge was a nice touch! The white door to left of the microwave and wine fridge leads into our small, one-car garage. (You can have a look at the floorplan to get a better idea of our unit's layout.)

There was nothing under the stairs when we moved in -- custom cabinetry, stainless drying racks, a nice sink, and a bright green caesarstone counter make the space both usable and fun.
