Have a wonderful Sunday

Bought this a yr ago at an arboretum sale. Such a treat to see in bloom now one yr later!

16mm macro extension ring, three LED spotlights; edited in Fujifilm's raw converter and refined in Luminar.

Hopefully, not a totally tired theme. But another cactus bloom to bring a little color to your day.

Wide-open, indoors, light from the window. As close as I can go with this lens.

Another large cactus bloom at the Phoenix Desert Botanical Garden. This one with pointier petals. I would guess this bloom is about 4 inches (~10cm) across

Cactus Garden

Ganna Walska Lotusland

Montecito, California

Normally the cacti at Lotusland bloom in wintertime, but they were spectacular in early May this year. No one seems to knows why.

Thanks for stopping by!

A macro of a part of a cactus we have on the terrace which has been growing like crazy these past couple of months. It's covered in little oval shaped leaves at the moment and it was these I wanted to try and capture. There's a photo of it in the first comment.

Have a great new week ahead everyone! 😊

My Christmas cactus is in bloom again on Palm Sunday.

These are actually the arms of one very large cactus. Seen in the Baja desert of San Felipe, Mexico.

I don't know what kind of cactus this is but I find the spider-like strings interesting. Taken at the Royal Botanical Gardens, Hamilton, Ontario.

This morning I was so delighted to see my Christmas Cactus in full bloom, where yesterday it was a closed bud. I got below the flower and had the sun shining behind to illuminate the petals.

Anothe view of our early flowering Christmas cactus

Nope, although their name "teddy bear cholla" might sound inviting, best not to snuggle with these sharp Sonoran succulents, On a related note, did have a "run in" with one of these fellows one time. Needless to say, I'm a little more cautious now. : flic.kr/p/2nWjv4p .
