One of many phone charging cables I have, and yes it is bright pink, in the hope that I can spot it in the jumble on my desk :)))

I have also placed a magenta coloured light underneath the cable.

This is the Cable Grist Mill at Cades Cove in the Smoky Mountains. Milling lay at the heart of the small community which inhabited Cades Cove from the 1820s to the 1940s. Built between 1865 and 1868, the mill was the economic core of Cades Cove and has been brought back into operation as an historic mill. Cable Mill is the only surviving original mill in the area and was restored in the early 1930s. Today, the mill is in operation daily between April and October and visitors can catch a glimpse of what life was like for Cade Coves’ early settlers by seeing it in action.

The cable ferry is a phenomenon that you still regularly encounter in our river country. A cable ferry is a fine example of the ingenuity of the former inhabitants.

If a river flows fast enough, you can ensure that the current pulls the boat to the other side. It is somewhat comparable to a kite with two strings that you can control. The cable ferry is recognizable by the cable to which it is attached, which is secured with an anchor in the middle of the river. Often, there are a few small boats to guide the cable.

Old computer cables using little bug zappers for lighting.

"Safety in numbers" is something to live by in Detroit, and even in the fine morning hours I would try to avoid hanging out alone in the D. Here we catch CSX Y122 as they head past the old tower that still operates.
