I like the passers-by, particularly the worker on the extreme right - "there is always time for a cup of tea!"

The only rain this week fell when I was on a bus. What else should you do other than take pictures?
Our office had been moved to a remote area due to reconstruction of the former building. We will be away for about 3 years. Everyday I am on a taxi to work with several colleagues. Soon I can collect an album of Through-taxi-windows photos like this

A standard cab dash-8 unit leading the daily M338 train out of Waterloo heads up Raymond Hill enroute to Kirk yard. The recent snowfall is looking dirty with the recent temps above freezing. Always good to see old units lead these trains

Vertical shot down a 1km high cliff. Top left in the frame are fields far below, the dark blue stuff is the Atlantic Ocean.
Taken with Canon EOS 5000, 24-70mm kit lens on Kodak Royal Gold 200 film in March 2002. Scanned in 2009, but the colour cast needed fixing and I didn't have the skills or the software. Finally complete in 2021.
As a contrast to the photos of modern buildings posted earlier, this one from Mdina shows the older more picturesque side of Malta. Much more pleasant on the eye in my opinion...
These horse cabs are popular in Malta and as far as I know Uber haven't reached the island yet..so sorry, you can't dial one of these up on your phone! But give it time...??

Inside the cab of a class 20 with a view of the power controller and master switch (Forward & reverse) I was lucky enough to get a cab ride on a pair from Boston to Nottingham in the 1980s and they certainley bounced along but that could have been the track. A pity DRS are withdrawing them but there is a farewell Railtour. After first being introduced in 1957 one of the most sucessful of the pilot scheme designs.
We stood in front of the heavy oaken doors for what seemed like an eternity, recovering from the shock of meeting the scary character within, when suddenly the door reopened and in place of the hairy keeper stood a yellow cab. The rear doors swung open as we approached and voice from within beckoned us to enter.
