NC8835 1928 STEARMAN AIRCRAFT C3B.
Now at Vintage Wings and Wheels Museum, Poplar Grove Airport (C77), Timberlane, IL. One of the few Stearman Model C3s flying today is the C3B restored by Ron Alexander. Carrying the registration NC8835, it was manufactured in 1928 as Stearman serial number 241. An unequal span sport/commercial biplane with tandem cockpits for a pilot in the rear and two passengers seated side-by-side in the front, the C3B was powered by a 220-horsepower Wright J-5 Whirlwind radial engine. www.flightjournal.com/c3b-the-original-stearman/

The little stuff is just what the doctor ordered. I try not to rely on these little Camalot C3s to hold a fall, but when all you have is a little crack that doesn't want to take a nut, it's very nice to sink the small cam, if only to protect the next single move.
Visual Story Project 1 presentations. After toiling away for the last week, the C4 presented their visual story projects to the rest of the class and to some of the C3s.

The C3s gave the C4s a brief run down of what their industry projects are like. Topics covered included: how to work as a team, how to organize yourself, how to work with industry clients and so on. It was a pretty good learning experience. Hopefully, the "war stories" the C3s talked about will prepare us C4s for our 2nd semester in which we start working on our industry projects.
Probably the least sensitive slide/presentation during this talk was when Gabe went over some of the things we should keep in mind when working on our industry projects.
It's the: FOR WHO THE IS A(N) THAT UNLIKE OURS sentence.
FOR which target demographic?
WHO requires what from your project.
It's called THE __ program and it IS A(N) ___ product THAT does something. And it is UNLIKE other versions or things similar to it whereas OUR product is better because of ___.

My first lead of this Southern Illinois classic .
Photo is a bit washed out. But with a very sunny 95 Degree day in southern Illinois..... not a bad shot.
The lead was fun, very very sustained. Good gear placements all the way up. I had used a rack of BD C4s and C3s and used about 14 pieces on the whole climb. YIKES!
