Go North East recently confirmed details in trade press magazine, Route One, of its £10m investment for the 2015/16 financial year.
Representing an investment of over £650,000; the company has ordered five Optare Solo SR minibuses, to upgrade some of its services operating from Hexham Depot. These brand new buses feature high-backed seating complete with e-leather and seatbelts; two-colour Tarabus 'Wood Effect' flooring; and blue accent lighting, which is fitted underneath seats, to provide extra light on the gangway. They are also fitted with free passenger Wi-Fi.
All five have now been delivered to the company. Their fleet numbers and registrations are below:

- 669 (NK16 BXL)
- 670 (NK16 BXM)
- 671 (NK16 BXN)

First flown with the Boeing test registration N1786B, this aircraft was delivered to KLM Royal Dutch Airlines in Aug-00. It was fitted with blended winglets in Jan-08. In Jul-13 it was leased to KLM subsidiary Transavia Holland and returned to KLM in Oct-13. Current, updated 12-Oct-21.
Trent Barton Volvo B7RLE / Wright Eclipse 729 - FJ09 BXH waits for time at a stop in Nottingham City Centre before working the two to Ilkeston, covering for a branded vehicle. This stop is the temporary terminus of the two while Victoria bus station receives an upgrade.
Lothian Buses Volvo B9TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini 895 (SN08 BXH) is seen here on Princes St, at the foot of The Mound, whilst operating a journey on service 44 (Wallyford-Balerno). It was new to the fleet in June 2008 and is currently withdrawn awaiting disposal following the arrival of new Volvo B5TL/Alexander Dennis Enviro400 MMC's.

ARRIVA Buses Wales ADL Trident 2 / Enviro 400 4545 - CX14 BXH crosses the blue bridge from Kinmel Bay as it heads towards its destination of Rhyl Gorsaf Fysiau (Rhyl Bus Station) which is the terminus of route 12 from Llandudno.
A brand new X3 ARV jointly operated by Sussex and Surrey seen on patrol in Lewes. Could possibly be a airport ARV.

The first Enviro200 to join Go-Ahead London's fleet, SE1 (LX07BXH) turns on to Wimbledon High Street on its allocated route for the last 13 years (can't believe I'm saying that), route 200. This bus will be withdrawn early next year when the 200 receives new electric double deckers

YN18 BXH - BMW 330 X Drive Saloon, YN16 BAO - BMW 330 RWD Estate & LC67 GDF BMW 330 X Drive Saloon (Demo).
Newest vehicle on the fleet is the one on the far left. YN16 BAO has had a rather pleasant facelift and now sports the new look being implemented on RP cars. It was updated after sustaining front end damage a short time ago.
As stated the third vehicle is a Demo currently on loan from BMW.
LX09 BXH (DOE39) Go-Ahead London Alexander Dennis Optare Olympus is seen on London route 93 to Putney Heath on Friday 16 June 2023.
