Got some very light snow going today. I hope it picks up over the weekend, could get some nice shots for the project! As for this shot, it was a total fluke!
I often wander around old cemeteries when I come across them and no exception was made when visiting the Primitive Baptist Church in Cades Cove. Looking at the grave sites of so many young people, babies actually, only drove home how hard life was in the early to mid 18th century. The hardships our ancestors endured should never ever be taken for granted.

I really enjoy roaming around the bays and hidden sloughs found around the small towns along the Florida panhandle and when I find little gems like this, it never fails to conjures up memories and songs of my youth such as..."Sittin' here resting my bones" ~ Otis Redding
While out exploring rural SW Alabama enroute to Whatley, we stopped in Purdue Hill to take some photos of the many old historic buildings that are found there.
I made this photo of Dr. W.E. Broughton's office with Ilford HP5plus film using my Wista 45SD 4X5 camera. I'm finding large format photography to be quite challenging, however, that's what makes it so much fun and I hope to continuously improve.
