PORTFOLIO's ABSTRACT:

There are some places of your childhood where you lived those moments that give an address to your future life. The sea, the light of my south, the architecture of the place, the love of my parents are all aspects that gave shape to my soul and, although my life is far from that place, the upcoming birth of my daughter Nicole force me to think about my role in this world, to my responsibility as father and to the future of my baby.

In the Italian part of the title infact the Italian word for summer (estati) has been deconstructed to give the sense of "how we was" or "how we will never be as then"..as free, as positive, as protected.

"SymmeTree" received an Honorable Mention in the 2011 Batdorff Photography B&W Photo Contest.

Check out the incredible winners of nearly 900 entries in "what has become one of the largest B&W contests in the United States...potentially seen by over 20,000 visitors."

Photographer John Batdorff's blog is found here: blog.batdorffphotography.com/blog/2011/10/07/2011-black-a...

(Unfortunately, the resolution looks wonky here, but I'm excited about the recognition.)

This image is obtained with a 180 degrees rotation from the original raw file and, in this way, the reflection of the two tango dancers on the floor constructs a new reality.

Photography is not an immediate transposition of reality but the way as the photographer looks at it.

This image summarizes my research around Architecture & Music.
