A year has past since the last prayer photo (at least pretty close), and with the addition of some new tattoos, and a more refined concept, it was indeed time to reshoot. This was shot in Cody's living room, once again, albeit at a different home, and a more studioesque setting. This photo was taken against a 53" roll of white seamless paper instead of against a brown wall.
Strobist: AB800 into 22" Beauty Dish to camera left with white reflector to camera right to fill in the shadows on Cody's back.

Poker is a fun game. I play it a lot. Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose... but I always have fun. The last night I played I lost big and I lost fast... nothing would materialize for me. I just wanted to, well, throw the cards into the air and give up. But then I recall the time two weeks ago I walked home up $200 and I wondered: did my opponents throw the cards into the air? No, so I play on... because every night needs a winner and every night needs a loser. That night was mine to be the latter, and bring on next time when the roles shall reverse.

I was so pleased with my shoot yesterday, that I reset the faux-studio and used it again. My goal for today was to show me with a nice poker hand, but the mood I was in led me to have more fun and be less show-off-ish, and so I give you this.
