Belfast is very busy this year - 2012 is being marketed in Northern Ireland as "Our Time, Our Place". This day there was certainly something about the place. The Olympic Torch was travelling along the North Coast, many were celebrating Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee, and the city was just full of visitors. Oh and I was out playing with the new camera…
I get to spend my time with these people.

It's buzz time! This one is from Hebbal Lake. Followed this beauty for a while before I saw it just about settle down for a brief instant on this twig :)

Update - ID done I think. This is a Carpenter Bee. Especially this picture from the wiki is very conclusive.
Brewed by Cool Brewing Co. Not the best canadian brewery out there, but not the worst.
Buzz beer is a hemp based lager, red-ish in colour made with hemp from B.C... It's quite refreshing.
It's been hot here the last few days - over 90°. All the dogs want to do is lay in the shade and pant. Too bad Buzz doesn't like water!
Sometimes you just miss. Just as I got this wasp in focus... it decided it didn't want its picture taken and it took off. :|
So you all have a lovely closeup of some Joe Pye weed buds and flowers, and a slightly blurred wasp as it lifts off.
Part 5. The airplane had just taken off from the airport in Port Aransas, Texas, turned, and dropped down and buzzed the beach, before climbing out to altitude.

"Who needs a KWIK-E-MART!... I do!"
They have converted a 7-11 into a functioning KWIK-E-MART in Bladensburg, MD. So I spent my day off taking a trip to check it out. They have everything you need from Squishies to Buzz Cola to Pink Frosted Donuts with sprinkles! Sadly they were out of Krusty-O's and there was no Duff Beer to be found!
