and tweedily tweedily twee goes the bird
but the sound of your little voice darling
that's the sweetest sound i've ever heard
'Buzz, Buzz, Buzz' by Jonathan Richman and the Modern Lovers
Right here we have a flyby of the International Space Station. I was on the parkway with my friend Jaret and shooting some scene along the roadside, when I noticed a very bright non-blinking object out over the valley. I reset my camera and was able to pick it up from this spot until it moved out of the scene over 7 images on 25 sec exposures. I masked them all into the first image to show the trail but keep the stars from streaking. I have noticed plenty of satellites on really clear nights that were barely visible, but this may be my first time noticing this thing. There was plenty of light pollution here as can be seen by the illuminated road as the moon had not yet set, and this is brighter than any stars.
I left the image much larger than normal but with the resolution knocked down to 72 dpi, it can be seen in full detail this way by clicking the arrow pointing down to a flat line on the right, and then viewing "original" size. When doing so if you move all the way to the right side of the image about 1/2 way up there is a dim fuzzy ball that is the Andromeda Galaxy, the most distant object seen by the unaided eye, 2.5 million light years and it contains a trillion stars.
The 'Bentilee Buzz' branding was introduced late last year as Bakerbus started running in competition with First on the busy 1 and 2 routes to Bentilee, in response First introduced this brand lower fares to and from Bentilee and it seemed to work as Bakerbus retreated a few months later, whereas the branding and lower fares remain.........for now. True to form branded Caetano Nimbus bodied Dennis Dart SLF LK03UEY (41521) isn't on the aforementioned routes but is instead seen arriving in Hanley as a 26A - which does at least serve Bentilee, amongst numerous other places, passengers from which will no doubt be delighted to find out just how much more they have to pay! 08/04/2014
Buzzing a glacier on the way to Crescent Lake. Unfortunately I don't know the name of it. I wouldn't want to have to try crossing this glacier on foot :-)

This is my grandson, Buzz Lightyear. Hunter really gets into character! He was yelling, quite loudly at his pa, " NOT TODAY ZURG!" And then it was like he snapped out of his trance and had to hug Pa! It was funny!
Scene number three using the $4 table I painted yellow. Blogged about here: theshoppingsherpa.blogspot.com.au/2013/07/buzz-bar-yellow...
Inspired by his good friend, Sandy, Buzz decided to create a line of Buzz Action Figures. The Buzz Action Figures are made of clay and accurately represent some of his New Adventures. You can see that he first assembles body parts before putting them all together.
If you would like to see the individual Action Figures, go to this image:

Buzz would like to thank Sandy for her help and advice and guidance in learning to work with clay.
This juvenile buzzed me near the end of the second dive. Sadly I had to return to the boat so I didn't get a chance to see how close he would come. I had plenty of air, but I learned long ago that you don't make any friends on the boat if you stay down too long, especially when they are on a tight schedule. Too bad the seal didn't check me out earlier.

My Dad and I just had a magical dinner with Buzz Aldrin. He is just remarkable, and full of ideas (e.g., 60-person orbital rocket rides).
The XPrize Executive Summit is a prelude to the XPrizeCup tomorrow. Both are in Las Cruces, New Mexico, which I tried to mark on the large globe.
And, no, he was not aware of Neil Armstrong’s concerns about Apollo 11.
Buzz Lightyear, the young alpaca, stands in some exposed tree roots. I thought his legs and the roots would look good together.
