A neat row of blue, orange and red buttons .. another one that took ages to set up!

Amsterdam - Herengracht.

Taken for the Macro Mondays theme of buttons. Sadly this little face desperately needs some dental work but due to Covid hasn't been able to get to the dentist and is now suffering from extreme tooth decay!

White in Backlight for a 'Smile on Saturday'. 😊,

Found in the archives, well, that's what mushrooms do. 👍.

Three heavily weathered buttons found near battlefields of the U.S. Civil War era. The two buttons in the upper portion of the photo are both what remains of brass buttons. On the left is the back of a button which is partially legible. It originally would have read - Scovill MFG Co Waterbury. It is about 18 mm in diameter and was likely from a U.S. (Union) soldier's coat. On the right a heavily corroded button, 16 mm, that probably came from a U.S. (Union) soldier's shirt cuff or trousers.

The Scovill Manufacturing Company began producing buttons for the U.S. military when the War of 1812 interrupted the supply coming from England. Please forgive the long description and HMM everyone!

A bit of button fun for Macro Mondays theme, buttons, of course!! Have a good Monday everyone :)

For the Macro Mondays Theme: Dots and Stripes

Thank you very much for your time, faves and comments. It's much appreciated.

The theme for Macro Mondays is Button(s), the perfect subject for my new ring light (see it in the first comment below).

Also, CC Monthly Challenge: Metal.

Button mushrooms, for Macro Mondays theme "buttons" and for the group 2016: one photo each day (9/366)

I saw this Snowberry clearwing moth (AKA hummingbird moth or flying lobster) on a button bush blossom but only got one less than ideal shot. The next morning I got the camera out into the atmospheric soup to acclimate it and had some limited success. It seems to like the early morning and I never got the 'right' combination of DOF and shutter speed. As you might guess, the camera is warming up out side now.

If anyone is looking for a nice, tranquil location to watch trains, Button's Bluff, near Springwood, VA, is exactly that. Quiet, peaceful, out of the way of the hustle and bustle of the world, while not being that far from civilization.

On a splendid Summer morning, we find an eastbound CSX grain train crossing the James River and entering the tunnel below the overlook at the bluff.

Macro Mondays - Orange and Blue

Sorry, I seem to keep delving into my collection of vintage buttons these days, but I really enjoy photographing them. This one is silver and was hallmarked in London in 1902.

the maromonday theme this monday is an object that fits on a coin-- this is a 2 euro coin and a little brass button :)

A pot of lovely Button Chrysanthemums in my front garden! Hope everyone's having a great day & from what I'm hearing on the weather channel, many places in the world, having Summer, are experiencing severe heat like us in Ottawa, Canada, so stay cool, safe & hopeful my friends =) Best viewed large!

I have seen and photographed many “Button Bucks” over the years, always wishing them a long and healthy life. Here is my first and only “Button Bull” Moose. This young man was the first moose spotted on our Alaskan adventure and was gracious enough to allow us a roadside photo session for as long as we would like. My wish fro him is the same. Taken just south of Palmer Alaska.

Adventure before dementia.

According to Wiki: Button Gwinnett (/ɡwɪˈnɛt/ gwin-ET; March 3, 1735 – May 19, 1777) was a British-born American Founding Father who, as a representative of Georgia to the Continental Congress, was one of the signers (first signature on the left) of the United States Declaration of Independence.[1] Gwinnett was also, briefly, the provisional president of Georgia in 1777, and Gwinnett County (now a major suburb of metropolitan Atlanta) was named for him. He was named in honor of his mother’s cousin, Barbara Button, who became his godmother.[2][3] Gwinnett was killed in a duel by rival Lachlan McIntosh following a dispute after a failed invasion of East Florida.
