I am going through my back catalogue to edit some fresh images to upload onto my website to promote my range of workshops for 2019.
I am currently putting together a three day residential Northumberland photography workshop for March 2019 when I came across this image of one of the most amazing sunrises I have ever witnessed.
I was all set up on the beach at Bamburgh waiting for the magic to happen when the sun quickly rose above the horizon just off to the right of the Farne Islands. I was mesmorised and as happy as a child on Christmas morning for I knew that I would capture something truly beautiful and having just found the image, I knew that I was right.
p.s. The colours are correct and have not been enhanced in Photoshop.

The teasels are not burning, of course not. And the fire is thousands of miles away from earth so no danger for this pretty wild flower field.
By the way, this was the wettest July we ever had in this area since weather has been reported. Records were broken five days before end of month. Therefore all of my last sundown photos were taken the same evening as there was no second chance yet.
View of the cliffs surrounding Cap de Formentor, the northernmost point of Mallorca island, at sunset. Also visible is part of the road leading to the lighthouse. This 13.5 km road, which runs from Port de Pollença to Cap de Formentor, was built by the Italian engineer Antonio Paretti. His masterpiece on Mallorca, however, was the snake road to Sa Calobra. Instead of being overwhelmed by what stood in his way on the cliffs, Parretti observed the Tramuntana winds and understood: where the slope was too steep, he made a curve. When he had to remove part of the cliffs, he placed the waste in other places where it was needed. The result was the two roads, which are nestled together in the mountains like abandoned silk ribbons.

The stars were aligned yesterday morning when I caught an amazing sunrise from one of the highest vantage points west of the hudson river.. The penthouse of North Bergen's Stonehenge sits 37 stories above the ground, which is perched up on the palisades cliffs.. You can literally see over manhattan and into queens! Pure luck that i had a sunrise like this to witness, photograph & enjoy.. And now i can share the experience with you..

Aminbazar, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The sun, who embellished this earth with life.
The fire, who gave birth to civilization.
The humankind, who placed the mighty hands of control, on both of them.
Captured from Aminbazar Garbaze dump, Dhaka, Bangladesh. The children and adults living on valuables procured from the garbage pile are warming themselves on a chilly evening of winter, while the sun is setting on the far horizon.

This photo is from the Monterrey/Pacific Grove area. Went there over the weekend with another couple and we did some exploring during the sunset/magic time. Windy and cold, but beautiful.
Originally there was a Ford Explorer sitting @ the top of this sunset. At first I processed this photo with the car in the shot (See below "BurningSunW-SUV 20"X30" ")...but seeing as the majority of the this photo is essentially a "Nature" theme, I decided to nix the SUV. Even though the car in the photo is interesting, I think sticking 100% to the nature element of the photo was the best decision.
