"Baby, I'm tired of toeing the line.
Don't know why you want to jump on me,
Baby, baby, baby, and make-a me cry.
Baby, I, I'm gonna find myself someone new,
Someone who will be true,
But no more toeing the line.
I know it's o-ooh-over, cause I've seen the signs.
Don't let me waste your precious time. "

He puts on a good show and you would never know that he’s been engaged in consuming mind altering substances such as the fermented berry/cherries. His inhibitions are completely gone and I’ve actually caught him on camera mooning me. Not a pretty sight, so I’ll save that to post some other time for when I have engaged in the same behavior and my inhibitions are gone. What I like about this one is the contrasting black and orange in the head area highlighted by some rays of sunlight we got this morning. That’s about as exotic as we get up here but I can always go on dreaming about something more colorful …
For those of you wondering about it, those are water drops on his chest from the birdbath.
This was the photo taken for the 5280 November 2004 magazine.
I think only 6 girls remain in differnt leagues...

I apologize for the lack of content sharing this past week, but I am still suffering from intermittent to mostly no Internet, so I am attempting to sneak an image in where I am able.
We have the technician coming out on Tuesday to hopefully provide a permanent fix to whatever is causing this headache-inducing malacy.
That aside, springtime has kept me rather busy this season, trying to travel to and fro to capture the rebirth of our mountains.
The majestic scenery of the Southern Appalachians is hard to beat, especially during the Catawba Rhododendron blooms in the spring.
While hiking near Mt. Mitchell State Park, views over the Asheville Watershed offer splendid scenes of the North Fork Valley and the Blue Ridge Mountains.
As seen in this image, the statuesque Graybeard Mountain rises tall, as the sixth highest mountain in the Blue Ridge, and patriarch to the Seven Sister peaks in the Swannanoa Valley.
While I had hoped for more dramatic clouds over this area on this outing, I sure was not left disappointed by the evening light cast upon these ridges.
Alright, time to upload this beauty before I lose connection again.
Until next time folks, may the light be ever in your favor!

From a seaweed glass sculpture for a Japanese restaurant. A few have asked if it is Chihuly, and it is not--actually it is by a glass sculptor named Jeff Burnette (from Vancouver?).
