Too awesome!

The clear bag in the garbage receptacle ( trash can ) was back lit by the sunset.

This is not garbage incinerator....the only fire burning was the one in the sky.

Thanks for peeking

Peter's latest piece - it is only a few inches high and is delightfully wonky!! Tealight on. the bottom and essential oils on water in the top!

Large freestyle-pushed a bit with this one but ran out of time to get the background up to scratch before bailing OS again. Thanks to Stoops for the wall hook and good conversation! The close ups and high res shit will be due out in a book project early next year I believe. Go hard or go home-much love to all my friends pushing me to be my best..you all have a roll to play in this!

Russula cyanoxantha (The Charcoal Burner) is an excellent edible mushroom. Whilst other members of the Russula family have very brittle gills that flake off easily Charcoal Burners have slightly oily gills that don't break under pressure, this is one of their main identifying features as the cap colour can vary considerably. The common name is derived from the French word Charbonnier (someone who makes charcoal).

I was delighted to find this one nestled at the foot of a Beech tree in Island Wood. Despite the fact a slug had already had a nibble I took it home, along with a few other edibles I found & made a delicious mushroom soup.

The steamer Kinsman Independent still a coal burner is downbound leaving the locks in Soo harbor. Carrying most likely a load of grain out of Superior, Wisconsin or Duluth heading for Buffalo her usual route on June 26, 1980. Originally the Richard V. Lindaberry of the United States Steel fleet, she ran thru the 1987 season and was sold for scrap in 1988.

At the cottage we rented in Shropshire recently we had a wood burner, and I thought purely as a photographic challenge I would attempt to take a picture of the flames. It's not as easy as it looks. This was the best of my efforts.

A wood waste burner, also known as a teepee burner in the United States and a beehive burner in Canada, is a conical steel structure used to dispose of waste wood in logging yards and sawdust from sawmills by incineration. The burners are prohibited from operation in Oregon due to air pollution. The majority of wood waste is now recycled and used as a component in various forest products, such as pellet fuel, particle board and mulch. This one is located along OR 126 near Mapleton, Oregon.

Uploaded this image in colour after an air to air refuelling exercise with the F-16`s of the Royal Danish Air Force, after having a dig around the old folders this evening I ended up re editing the image in B+W and came up with this. 4 F-16`s callsign "Burner" formate behind our KC-135 Tanker high above Denmark.

My favourite day of my holidays. We snowshoed into the lake and the sun was shining into the trees as we approached the opening. It made it look like the lake was golden! So beautiful.

The Chinese Cemetery in Nevada City, California. The earliest Chinese pioneers came to California during the Gold Rush of 1849-50. During the early 1860's they began returning the remains of their deceased to China for traditional burials. There are no human remains left on this site.

This was used to burn offerings to the departed for their use in the spirit world. Paper replicas were burned as well as personal possessions of the deceased.
