This lady, spotted on the street in Manhattan, had a novel way of walking her dog! A bag lady with a difference for sure but she really should have had a Burberry bag for the dog too! What must the poor mutt think!

"In 1856 Thomas Burberry established Burberry in Basingstoke at just 21 years old, founded on the principle that clothing should be designed to protect people from the British weather.
In 1879 Thomas Burberry invented gaberdine, the breathable, weatherproof and hardwearing fabric revolutionising rainwear, which up until then had typically been heavy and uncomfortable to wear. Gaberdine was then patented in 1888.
In the 1920’s The Burberry check, now registered as a trademark, is introduced as a lining to their rainwear.
In 1990 Burberry is granted a Royal Warrant by HRH The Prince of Wales as an Outfitter. On 6 May 2023, the Prince was crowned King Charles III."
