I painted the exterior first, reflecting the row of lights on the outside pavement, then I walked inside to illuminate the interior. The spots on the tent wall and interior floor were created by shining my flashlight on one of the disco balls for about 30-seconds.

Bumper. A close friend's American Bulldog that was diagnosed with a terminal bone-cancer around the 18th of June. 2017. The ved wanted to put him down that instant... As shocking as this proposal was, my friend refused simply because Bumper was still very happy at the time, and willing to move about, just a bit slower than usual. At almost 8 years of age this is a common thing with big dogs. This album (except for the first 7) is a small portrayal of all that he would have missed out on, (including his 8th birthday) if it were for the ved's proposal to put down a dog which had yet no desire at all to die. After this, My friend started applying a daily drop of CBD oil, which you might be open to, or dismiss out of pure skepticism, not my concern ;-) Bumper started recovering, and the tumor got smaller until after two months, it had almost gone... He was even running properly again... This continued for months and we made sure every single more moment we could share with him since his diagnose was treasured greatly. He nearly managed to get another full year since the diagnose. But this last month, it all returned fast... and very unfortunately, though fighting through as hard as he possibly could, it took the better of him... Bumper, born on July 7, 2009, was put to rest at April 6, 2018 due to his worsening condition, and at the 9th, properly buried with a ceremony among friends.
Rest well, and in peace, dear Bumper. You were like no other. <3

Fort Bend County Sheriff Troy Nehls wanted to find the owner of a GMC Sierra pickup truck and charge him or her with disorderly conduct. A bumper sticker on a pickup truck in Fort Bend County near Houston read FUCK TRUMP AND FUCK YOU FOR VOTING FOR HIM. The sheriff could have a 42 USC 1983 case coming against him if he arrests someone for a “Fuck Trump” bumper sticker. Chaplinsky v New Hampshire involved words spoken to a particular person on the street. Calling them a fascist in the middle of WWII was held to be “fighting words” and therefore not protected speech. However, Title 42 Section 1983 USC permits people to sue government officials or employees (as individuals) who, under the color of law, use their governmental authority to deny another person his or her civil liberties. This was a local news story from last week that I edited from several sources. But wait; there's more!
I just remembered that I served under Troy Nehls when he was a “leftenant” with a whiny voice and northern accent in my old Guard unit in Rosenberg back in the 1990’s. His name sounded familiar, so I looked it up on the Fort Bend County website and saw his picture. Many units in the old 49th Armored Division, especially that damned tank company were thoroughly infested with favoritism and prejudiced against those like me with Regular Army experience who knew what the hell we were supposed to be doing. Even though Nehls came from Wisconsin, he plugged right into the local Good Old Boy network during his time with Rosenberg PD. I retired and transitioned several years before my old unit went to Iraq as infantry rather than as armor. I hope he enjoyed his time in Iraq fighting for Big Oil; it is obvious he has no concept of our nation actually being “the land of the free.”
Sheriff Nehls is known for comments that criminals who enter Fort Bend County could leave in a body bag. Karen Fonseca, the owner of a truck bearing a large FUCK TRUMP sticker now has a new sticker that says "FUCK TROY NEHLS AND FUCK YOU FOR VOTING FOR HIM. My second paragraph was posted as a comment in the Daily Kos. Then a few days later, the mystery driver was arrested on unrelated charges. The ACLU said they would defend her if Nehls filed "disorderly conduct" charges against her, and the District Attorney said those charges probably wouldn't stick.
The Fort Bend County I passed through frequently in my childhood was low-lying rice fields in the southeast that flooded easily, sugarcane fields and prison land around Sugarland, and cotton fields west of the Brazos River. The muddy, treacherous Brazos is important for irrigation but notorious for its quicksand, unstable banks, and unpredictable volume of water from its source in Central Texas to its mouth near Freeport. Now much of Fort Bend County is ugly sub-urban sprawl that attracts RepUGLYcan parasites that oppose mass transit lines into Houston but want more highways, and they whine for federal aid when tropical storms flood their housing pods built on wetlands. Nehls is said to be thinking about running for Congress.
Addendum: He was recently elected to the US House of Representatives in November 2020 for District TX-22.
