Got snowed off yesterday, so went to Fingeringhoe wick nature reserve for a walk. Bumped into a kingfisher at kits pond, both surprised, naturally it flew off!

Saw my first Tree creeper, it out flaked me on the blind side of the tree!! Typical! But did manage this shot in the rain after the snow!

Gary coloured Bumper Cars at a funfair on Bournemouth seafront. I hate the ride, as when I was a child, I was in one driven by my Uncle, who bumped it suddenly, resulting in my teeth piercing my lip.

Macro Mondays. Circles

I wanted to say this is a bunch of lizard eyes or something exotic. But it's a hobnail glass candle holder. I like how the bumps picked up the bumps on the opposite side of the container. So I got lots and lots of circles. I played around and added colored water and got many variations and it was hard to pick just one!

The sun came out on a cold Tuesday on the top of Beeston Bump between Sheringham and Cromer. Two hours later it was snowing ! The Bump is famous for Black Shuck a legendary black spectral hound that is said to have inspired Sir Conan Doyle when he was writing Hound of the Baskervilles.

It was also the site of one of a network of Y stations, which gathered data for Bletchley Park by intercepting enemy wireless and radio transmissions in World War Two.

Two month baby bump! It might be partly all the Christmas cookies too.

The red heart is a shadow of a glass red heart suspended above the egg.

This snake is way smaller than it looks in this image. I had to get as close as I could focus, just a couple cm away, so it would fill the frame. Ringnecks are incredibly docile too. It's surprising they can survive in the wild world they live in. I guess the same could be said for all of us.

Thanks so much for the visit!

I used to walk by this street very often, but since the new MRT line started last winter, I changed my daily route to another alley: www.flickr.com/photos/shangpc/albums/72157651625181588

That day I was in a hurry to go to a family lunch gathering, saw this scene on the way without my camera in hand. After the lunch, I went straight home, grabbed my camera, and returned to this location. Fortunately, nothing was changed.

The owner of the prosthetic leg was about ten meters away on a wheel chair, selling chewing gums. He asked if I were a reporter. He said he does not need report, nor help from the government or anyone. He just lost his leg a few months ago, things had been tough, but he thought as long as he can sell 40 gums a day, he can support himself no problem.

I thanked him for allow me to take pictures, wished him good luck and left, but didn't ask why he had to put the leg so far away from himself.

A few days later, I bumped into him again, this time I asked him why, and his answer was quite amusing. He said he is sick and tired of looking at the leg, that's why. But once he putted it further away, about triple the distance as it is now, a janitor came by and thought someone dumped it, then tried to carry it away, so he had to chase the janitor (on his wheel chair). Therefore it appears the way it is now: far enough, but not too far.

Peace to the lord to all those love ones who left us to soon.

I was busy with capturing the windmills of the Zaanse Schans when I saw these young people enjoying their evening during sunset time. I took several pictures of them. Later on behind my computer I saw the perfect timing of their first-bump (Dutch: boks) and the perfect position of the windmills in the frame. Just a picture out of my comfort zone. Hey, hey, you

Tell me how have you been?

You could have a steam train

If you just lay down your tracks

You could have an aeroplane flying

If you bring your blue sky back

All you do is call me

I'll be anything you need

You could have a big dipper

Going up and down, all around the bends

You could have a bumper car, bumping

This amusement never ends

I wanna be your sledgehammer

Why don't you call my name?

Oh, let me be your sledgehammer

This will be my testimony

Show me 'round your fruit cage

'Cause I will be your honey bee

Open up your fruit cage

Where the fruit is as sweet as can be

I wanna be your sledgehammer

Why don't you call my name?

You'd better call the sledgehammer

Put your mind at rest

I'm going to be the sledgehammer

This can be my testimony

I'm your sledgehammer

Let there be no doubt about it

Sledge, sledge

Sledgehammer

The first first that stood here was built in 1877, and this bridge was completely rebuilt in 1972 by local bridge builder Arnold Graton.
